That's when the doctor came out. "The Perez Family." Everybody jumped up. "Woah! I mean his actual family." the doctor said. They still remain standing. "Look we can only have two adults at a time." the doctor said. Rachel and Roberto walked forward. "We're his parents. How he's doing?" they asked. The doctor shook his head. "Unfortunately he lost a lot of blood." Jacelyn jumped up. "But we were able to remove the bullet. He's a very lucky man. The bullet was very close to his heart. We completed surgery. Shortly he'll be in ICU." the doctor explained. "Oh thank you! Thank you so much!" Rachel said shaking the doctor's hand. Roberto hugged Rachel. Jacelyn walked forward. "Sir may we see him? Please. Just to know he's okay for sure." Jacelyn asked. The doctor can tell she been having a hard time dealing with this. "Sure sweetheart. Right this way." the doctor said. Kelsey jumped up and followed Jacelyn. The doctor turned around. "This his little sister. She's with me." Jacelyn explained. The doctor nodded. He opened up a door. Laying on the bed was Jacques. "Oh my gosh!" Jacelyn cried. Kelsey patted her on the back. "I'll give you two a minute." The doctor said. Jacelyn walked up to the bed. Jacques turned his head. "JayyCee." Jacques said softly. She grabbed his hand. "Yes!" Jacelyn said. He started coughing. "You don't have to worry about Kyra anymore. I dealt with it." he said softly. Jacelyn hugged him. "Baby don't ever scare me like that again. I thought I lost you." Jacelyn sobbed. Jacques shook his head. "Naw baby girl I'm always here. You'll never lose me." Jacques said. "What about me?" Kelsey asked. Jacelyn chuckled. "She called me." Jacques reached for her hand. "You too kiddo." Kelsey smiled. That's when Rachel came in. "Is he okay?" she asked nervously. Jacelyn nodded. "He's okay." She walked up. "Ma." Jacques said. "Booy don't you ever scare me that. Do you hear me? You had me and grandmother worried about you. Jacques nodded. "Sometimes when you really care about someone, you'll do anything for them." he said looking at Jacelyn. Rachel smiled. She understood. She walked out the room. "Kelsey c'mon. Let's go grab some lunch and come back." Rachel said. Jacelyn nodded. Kelsey walked towards her mama. They closed the door. Jacelyn sat on the side of him. She begin smiling. He smiled at her.
