Chapter Thirty-Two

Two Months Later....
"Mama! C'mon we have to get you to the hospital. You going into labor!" Jacelyn shouted. She grabbed her keys and went out the door behind her mother. She wobbled to the car. Jacelyn hopped in and cranked up the car. They went off to the hospital. "Wait but what about your father?" Janelle asked. Jacelyn looked over at her mother. "I got it covered. He's meeting us there after he tell his boss about the emergency. He's leaving work now." Jacelyn explained. Janelle sat back. "Woaaah!" Janelle shouted. That's when she was experiencing contractions. "Ahhhhaaa JayyCee hurry. I don't think your brother or sister could wait any minute. That's when they pulled up. The doctors got her in a wheelchair. Jacelyn followed behind. "I'm her daughter." Jacelyn said. The doctor nodded. "The name Dr. Anderson. Her OBGYN will be here any minute but we going to get her to a room." Dr. Anderson explained. Jacelyn nodded.

Jay walked in the front of the hospital. "I'm looking for my girlfriend Janelle Cortes." he said nervously. The receptionist typed the name in. "Right in labor room 205." she said with a smile. He rushed down the hall. That's when he saw his girls. "Daddy!" Jacelyn shouted eagerly. Janelle smiled. He walked in and held Janelle's hand.

Thirty hours later, a beautiful girl was born. Jay wiped Janelle sweat from her forehead. Jacelyn tears fell. "Mama she's beautiful." The OBGYN cut the umbilical cord and washed her off. "Thought of a name for her yet?" Jacelyn asked. Janelle looked at Jay. He looked at her. They shook their head. "How about Maddison Da'Shay Cortes (West)? We can call her Maddie for short." Jacelyn said. Janelle smiled. "I love it JayyCee! Janelle said. The OBGYN walked in with the baby. "You got a name for this beautiful baby?" she asked. Janelle nodded. "Maddison Da'Shay Cortes (West)." She wrote the name on the birth certificate. "I just need to father to sign." she said. Jay walked over. He signed it. "That's where the West come from?" the OBGYN asked. He nodded. The OBGYN was walking out when Jacelyn stopped her. "Miss...?" "It's Mrs. Danelle Coopes." she said. "Mrs. Coopes you mind taking our picture. I wanna remember this moment." Jacelyn asked. Mrs. Coopes nodded. She took Jacelyn phone. "Say Maddie!" She snapped the picture. Jacelyn looked at it. "Perfect!" That's when there was a knock on the door. It was Jacques. "Hello Mrs. Cortes. Congratulations on the new edition to the family. So what's the baby name?" he asked. Jay shook his hand. "Maddison." Jacelyn answered. That's when Black walked in. "Congratulations Janelle. Jay can I speak to you for a second?" he asked. Jay walked out to the lobby. "Yo we just got a promotion. You going to like this one. A Corporation in California wants the two best men down there to represent and we been chosen. Y'all can be closer to Jacelyn and also raise baby Cortes there. Start of fresh with our lives. Its what we need. So much then went down in Detroit. Think about it. Ja'Quan got shot here. Kesha problems was here. Rodney problems here. Jacelyn getting abused here by Mike. Its for the best. C'mon! This big money. You could possible get Janelle that wedding ring with this opportunity." Black explained. Jay nodded, "A'ight!" They walked in the room. "So what's this one name. Let me guess something with a J." Black joked. Janelle laughed. "Actually JayyCee came up with this name." "It's Maddison but Maddie for short." Jacelyn said. Black smiled. "I like baby Cortes. That's her nickname for me. Just like I gave you JayyCee." Black said. Everybody laughed. "Baby I got a promotion!" Jay said. Janelle kissed Jay. "Aww baby that's amazing." "It's in California. We moving to California." Jay shouted. Janelle smiled. "I like that. Let's move then." Janelle said. Jay dapped up Black. He hugged Jacelyn. "Keep being on that grind." Jacelyn nodded. "As for you ball player. Keep her. She's the only one down for you. She just might be your forever girl." Jacques smiled, "She's way more than that." He kissed her.

Alexis, Devon, Rashan, Maureen, Taylor, Destinee, and Byrce walked into the room. "Oh my gosh! What are y'all doing here!" Jacelyn said eagerly. "You know I couldn't miss the new baby for the world." Alexis said. Jacelyn hugged her. "Hey watch the stomach. He already been causing me to go pee every five minutes." Alexis said. Devon smiled. "Oh my gosh! You having a boy." Jacelyn said. "Just what Devon wanted. Another ball player." Alexis pouted. He walked behind her. "I love you too." he said placing a kiss on her cheek. They walked over to see Jay holding the baby. Janelle was coming out the bathroom. "Alexis baby you gotten so big!" Janelle said. Alexis huffed. "Yes I'm seven months. Only two more months left hopefully." Alexis said. Devon hugged her. "How you doing Ms. Cortes?" Devon said hugging her. "I'm still breathing ain't I?" she asked. Devon nodded. Taylor and Maureen stared at Maddison. "Ms. Cortes she's beautiful. She kinda resembles Mr. West." Taylor said. Jay smiled. "That's my baby girl." Janelle fixed her bed up. "I'm going to the cafeteria for something to eat." Jacelyn got up. "I got it ma. I'll go get your food. Sit down and relax. Enjoy your time with my sister." Jacelyn said. Janelle chuckled, "Sound just Jadien and Ja'Quan when you were born. They didn't let me move at all." Jacelyn smiled. "I am their sister ain't I?" Janelle nodded. "Child just go get my french toast." Jacelyn chuckled and walked out the room. That's when Jacques stopped her.
