Chapter Thirty-Five

Jacques and Jacelyn drove back California State University. She was fast asleep in the passenger seat. That's when Kacey walked up to the car. "Go ahead and take her back to your place. I'm heading off with Kyle tonight." Jacques nodded. He cranked the car up and headed to Georgia.

Two hours later, they was pulling up to Jacques dorm room. He carried her in and tucked her in bed. He kissed her cheek. "I love you future Mrs. Perez." he whispered in her ear. She immediately begin smiling.

"Devon! Devon It's time! The baby coming! The baby is ready to see the world." Alexis said trying to wake Devon up. He got up and packed a bag. "I'll call Jacelyn and let her know." Devon said. Alexis nodded. She wobbled in her shoes. She left out the house in some joggers and one of Devon T-shirt. He picked up his phone and dialed Jacelyn.

Devon- JayyCee!

Jacques- Wassup Devon! JayyCee sleep. Is everything okay?

Devon- Alexis going into labor.

Jacques- Damn! I'll try to wake her.

Devon- The crew is already on their way.

Jacques- Bet

"JayyCee! JayCee! Baby girl!" Jacques said trying to wake her. She groaned. "Baby Alexis going into labor!" Her eyes opened. She sat up. "Seriously?" Jacques nodded. "Devon just called letting us know. The crew heading over to the hospital too. C'mon get up!" Jacelyn got up. She put on some clothes and shoes. She grabbed her keys. "What you think you doing? I ain't letting you drive after you just woke up." Jacques complained. Jacelyn chuckled. "Fine then!" she said handing him the keys. He smiled.

They arrived one hour later. Everybody was there. Jacelyn heard Alexis fussing already. She went to go look and saw the doctors trying to put her in a wheelchair. "I don't need a damn wheelchair. I can walk!" Alexis shouted. Devon shook his head. "Alexis just take it!" Devon begged. She huffed. He help her sit down. That's when she started experiencing contractions. "Ooouuuuu Devon this baby can't wait. Get me to a damn room. He/She hurting the sh*t out of me." she screamed while holding Devon hand. He yelled. "Got damn! Alexis my hand! Let it go! Let my damn hand go! I gotta play basketball with this hand!" he pleaded. Jacelyn laughed at them. He spotted Jacelyn and walked her way. She was still laughing. "How it feels to get Lexi pregnant?" Jacelyn asked laughing. Devon huffed. "I be damn if there's a second one. I'll be glad so she can stop eating up all the damn food and throwing it back up. All the mood swings will be gone. No more massaging her feet. Them things stink!" Jacelyn laughed harder. "I love you guys. Better get in there!" That's when Alexis yelled. "Devoooooonnnnn! Get yo a** in here! You put this damn baby in me! Now come here me deliver it!" Devon cursed under his breath. Jacelyn laughed again. Jacques walked up behind her. He started hugging her. "That will be you next once we get married." Jacques whispered in her ear. Jacelyn chuckled. "I won't be as crazy as her though." Jacelyn said. She turned around to kiss Jacques. "I love you." Jacques smiled. " I love you too baby girl!" Jacques went into his pocket. It was the necklace with the promise ring on it. Jacelyn gasped. "You mind putting this back on. It kinda hurt when I seen you took it off and threw it at me. I was lowkey hurt but it's cool now. Everything all good between us." Jacques said. Jacelyn turned around and lifted her hair up. She held in between her fingers. "I promise to never take it off again as long as yo dumb a** don't hurt me anymore." she said playfully hitting him. He chuckled. "I promise baby girl."

Ninety-five hours later, Alexis gave birth to a baby boy and baby girl. "Oh my gosh! Twins!" Jacelyn squealed. Alexis was exhausted. Devon chuckled. "Any name suggestions?" Alexis playfully hit him. "I got one already. Jordyn Demika Coopes and Daylen Tyrese Coopes." Alexis said. Devon frowned. "Daylen seem gay!" Devon said. "No that's what the girls gon' like!" Alexis argued. Devon huffed. "Fine Daylen cool with me!" Alexis smiled. The nurse wrote the names down. "I'll just need mother and father signature. They both signed. Everybody clapped. Jacelyn and Jacques looked at each other. That's when Janelle and Jay walked in. Jacelyn ran to them. "Let me hold Maddie!" she begged. "She sleep sweetie." Janelle said. Jacelyn watched. "I wish Jadien was here to see her." she said to herself. Janelle nodded. "He would've been exhausted to have another sister to deal with." Jay said. Jacelyn nodded. Jacques shook Jay hand. "How you doing sweetheart?" Janelle asked Jacques. "Good. I'll be coming home for the break. Maybe we could meet up at my pops house." Jay nodded. "Alright son that's cool with me." Jacelyn smiled. She loved seeing Jacques bonding with her parents.

A hour later, Alexis was sleep with the twins in her arms. Devon got out the chair and put them both in their beds. He climbed in with Alexis. "Y'all can leave! She out for the night." Devon said. Taylor, Maureen, Byrce and Rashan got up and left. "I can't believe you a daddy man but good luck!" Rashan said. Devon laughed. "Man get out of here with that stuff!" Devon said. Jacques looked over to see Jacelyn sleep on the couch. He huffed. "Ugh not again!" he said. That's when Jay picked her up. "I got her!" he said walking out the door. Janelle followed. Jay placed her in the car. "Nice seeing you Mr. West and Ms. Cortes." Jacques said. Janelle waved. "As long as you invite us to the wedding!" Jay shouted. Jacques grinned. "Will do sir! Have a nice night!" he said driving off.
