Chapter Sixteen

Destinee was listening to Comfortable by K.Camp when Jadien walked in. "Wassup baby girl!" Jadien said. She smiled. "I'm sorry for the chaos on Thanksgiving. I hated you didn't get the chance to fully meet my ma and pops." Jadien explained. "It's cool. I understand. You gotta look out for your boys." she said. Jadien kissed her lips. "I'm glad you understand baby. Now what's plan for tonight?" Jadien asked. Destinee put up her notes. "I'm was just studying for this exam." she said moving her papers off the bed. Jadien took his shoes off and climbed in. "Mmm I think you need a break. How about we just chill? Relax a lil bit." Jadien said. Destinee chuckled. "But baby I need to study." Destinee whined. Jadien kissed her neck. She let out a small moan. "Study later. Right now it's our night. I'll go rent some movies for use to watch." Jadien said getting up from the bed. He put his shoes on. "Be back in ten." he said. Destinee grinned. "That silly boy there." Destinee said. All of a sudden, her phone rang. It was Brooke. She answered the phone.

Destinee- Brookie!

Brooke- Heey Des! So what's up for tonight?

Destinee- I was studying until Jadien interrupted. Now we about to watch movies.

Brooke- Ooouu I'm on my way!

Destinee- But Brooke....

Destinee changed into her Nike sweatpants and Nike shirt. She pinned her hair up in a messy bun and climbed onto the bed. Minutes later, there was a knock on her apartment door. She got up and answered it. "Waaaassuuupppp Destinee!" JaMarcus said. Destinee rubbed her head. "Really?! You just have to be loud." she complained. Brooke followed in behind him. "I'm sorry but he wanted to come too. That's when Jadien walked in. "Awww my n****!" Jadien said dapping him up. Destinee huffed. Brooke laughed. "I think it's cute." she said. "So what movies did you get?" Destinee questioned. Jadien showed her the movies. "We have action and scary movies." he said. JaMarcus picked out a scary one. "Let's watch this one." He placed in the DVD player. Everybody got comfortable. Jadien wrapped his arm around Destinee. She leaned back.

Destinee woke up to her alarm clock. Jadien had his arm wrapped around her still. She smiled. She moved his arm and got out of bed. She walked to bathroom and took her shower. When she got out, Jadien was awake. "Good morning baby girl!" he said smiling. Destinee couldn't help but smile. She reached for lotion and started getting dressed. She grabbed her skinny jeans with her blue and grey shirt along with her Jordans. She added her hoop earrings. Her hair was curly. She grabbed her phone and books then headed out the door. "I'm gone baby. See you after class." she shouted to Jadien. On her way to class, she stopped for Starbucks. "Can I have a Vanilla Bean Cremé" she said to the cashier. "That would $4.28. She pulled out a five dollar bill. The cashier handled her order and her change. "Have a nice day ma'am." the cashier said. She arrived just on time. "Ahhhh Ms. Love excellent student that's always on time or early. Did you finished your assignment?" Mr. Burns asked. She pulled out her essay. "Five hundred words typed. Double space." she said handing him the assignment. He scanned over it. "Good job Ms. Love." Destinee took her seat. The rest of the students came in. "Hey! Pssh Destinee!" Jade whispered. Destinee rolled her eyes. "What do you want!" Destinee said with an attitude. Jade chuckled. "I just wanted to compliment you on passing the six weeks exam. How did you do it? Hmmm was it that gangsta boyfriend of yours. What's his name? Oh yeah Jadien Cortes." Jade teased. Destinee got up. She was furious.

"Jacelyn! Jacelyn! Wake up girl." Kacey said. Jacelyn rolled over and looked at her alarm clock. It was seven in the morning. "I made breakfast in the kitchen if you like." Kacey said. She checked her watch. "I gotta go. My class about to start." Jacelyn got out of bed. She stretched. She checked her phone. Good morning baby. I'm sorry I messed up again but this time all I need is one chance to make it up. Meet me at Applebee's after your afternoon classes. -Jacques. Jacelyn smiled at the message. She hurried and took her shower. She put on her sweatpants and Nike Just Do It shirt along with her Nike slides. She pinned her hair into a bun. She started walking to class. "Jacelyn!" DeShawn hollered. She turned around to see him running to catch up with her. "Hey." she slightly said. "You good today?" he asked. She nodded, "I'm straight. Look there's something I have to tell you." she said. He began to smile. "I'm not interested in you. I have a boyfriend back home who I been dating since my freshman year of high school. I know I was feeling down the other day only because of what happened but now we back together so yeah. You're a very attractive guy but I'm just not attracted to you. We can still be friends you know. Just nothing more." DeShawn sighed. "Kacey told you?" he asked. Jacelyn nodded, " I'm afraid so. But hey there's plenty girls out in the sea. Don't get discouraged cause I turned you down. I just think I'm through dating. This guy I'm with is that forever guy for me." DeShawn sighed. "Yeah I understand. Well...umm... I guess congratulations though. I'll catch up with you later or whenever then." he said walking back the opposite direction. Jacelyn shrugged her shoulders and kept walking to her class.
