Nova
His warmth was always something I craved in the mornings. As I stirred awake, I felt a heavy presence on me. I look down to see Xavier's loose brown waves as he lays his head on my stomach.
He's drooling like a puppy, and I can't help but be mesmerized by him. He has given me grace during the most difficult of times, and provides me with the room to make mistakes, to be in my own world, without the prying eyes of judgement.
The unwavering confidence he has in me heightens my own, and I can't help but feel thankful that I get to call him mine.
Today I feel whole. I feel as though I am truly in my body, and not spaced out while I try to find my way back to planet Earth.
I have planned to meet with Kieran, hoping to talk to him about Oliver. Kieran should not be in the dark about this unruly situation, and deserves to know about Oliver's twisted acts. We also need to talk about a plan to end the organization in Pento, led by William Toch and Kelly Reese once and for all.
We have narrowed in on their operation, using all the resources we have, and I'll stop at nothing until the trafficking ring is shut down for good. I go to grab my phone, but hear a whine come from Xavier.
"Why'd you stop playing with my hair," He sulks, nuzzling his face into my stomach.
"Sorry, love. I didn't realize."
Xavier sits up, his gaze intentional as he looks at me all over. I watch as his cheeks begin to redden, so I hit him in the face with the nearest pillow.
"I haven't even brushed my teeth yet, you sick fuck," I say, my eyes narrowing.
He scoffs, an incredulous smile staking claim on his face. He pulls back and rolls his eyes.
"Don't flatter yourself. I wasn't even doing anything," he lies, crossing his arms and pointing his nose to the air.
"I'm sure you weren't," I glared halfheartedly.
Pushing the blanket off of me, I try to scorch to the edge of the bed. I don't get far until I feel Xavier's grasp around my wait pulling me back into the centre of the bed.
"Where do you think you're going?" I look at him with an annoyed expression.
"I'm going to work. I need to inform Kieran about Oliver, and how he's connected to William Tock and Kelly Reese. We need to put a stop to the Pento ring as soon as possible, and I don't think that Kieran should be left in the dark anymore," I state.
As I spoke, I noticed Xavier's eye twitch when I said Oliver's name. His eyes became void of emotion while his nostrils flared. He then took a deep breath, noticeably trying to relax his muscles.
"Xavier, love, what's wrong?" I ask, dropping any hint of the annoyance I once had.
"I'm sorry for not telling you earlier," his voice gentle as he leans down to kiss my forehead.
"Tell me what? What did you do?" I could feel my heart begin to quicken to an unpleasant speed.
"I killed him." His jaw clenched.
My eyes widened, and my shoulders dropped. Oliver was dead.
"Killed who?" I already knew the answer, but I needed him to confirm my suspicions.
