Carl and I continued to make out on our bed. We somehow managed to find good moments in the dark and cruel world we currently lived in, we however, always stopped before it got too fat. But I've had two near death experiences in the last few weeks. Life is way too short to wait, I don't want to wait anymore, I don't want to die a virgin. I broke the kiss and stared at Carl who was on top of me. I pulled his shirt off and connected our lips again.

Our lips moved in perfect sync. Carl flipped us over so I was now on top of him. I began to straddle him and I could feel him through his dark washed jeans. I began to kiss all down his neck. I had no clue what I was doing but I must have been doing something right because Carl let out a moan. I took my lips off his pale skin and took my shirt off, leaving me in just my blue bra and white shorts. Carl's eyes widened when I took it off and he wouldn't take his eyes off my now exposed body.

"Yo-you sure?" He asked looking up at me. I smiled and gave him a quick kiss.

"Yes." I said before crashing my lips to his. Carl began to play with my hair and began to move his hands down my neck to my back. I felt as he unclasped my bra. I let it slide off.

Carl then flipped us over yet again so he was on top of me. We stopped kissing as he continued to stare at me. I began to feel really self-conscious as his eyes scanned my body. I was done with his staring so I pulled him to my lips again.

I heard a loud bang. It sounded like a bomb, the building began shaking along with our bunk. I jumped away from Carl, startled by the loud noise.

"What was that?" I asked. Carl shook his head.

"I don't know." He quickly got up and so did I, I put my bra and put my shirt back on. "Grab your bag pack whatever you can." I looked to him. My nerves were shot and my hands began to shake.

"Why? What's going on?" I asked him. He shook his head again.

"I don't think anything good. Get your stuff and meet me outside." Carl slipped his shirt on and kissed my forehead. "It's going to be okay." He told me. He picked his hat up of the floor and put it on my head, then he sprinted from our small cell. I watched as he ran off, his body getting farther and farther from mine. I could only fear the worse.

I began packing everything I could. I grabbed a lot of mine and Carl's clothes, the picture of my family, and the picture of Carl and his parents. I looked around the room, hoping I didn't forget anything. Then I left my cell, for the last time.

As I was walking down stairs I looked around but no one was in here. They must have all went outside to see what's going on. I grabbed a few granola bars and canned vegetables and shoved them in my bag along with 6 bottles of water.

I ran outside and saw Rick by the fences, a bunch of people were outside the chain linked fences. They had a tank and what I can see, a lot of guns. I ran closer and saw Carl pointing a gun at a bunch of them along with dad.

"They're talking, we could kill the Governor right now." Carl told my dad.

"From 50 yards?" Dad asked, knowing it was near to impossible.

"I'm a good shot. I could end this right now." Carl stated.

"Yeah, or you could start somethin' else. You got to trust him." Dad told Carl. I was now behind them and I moved to the side so they could see me.

"What the hell is going on?" I asked.

"Ava get back inside!" Dad told me, fear lacing his gruff voice.

"Why what's going on? Who are those people?" I asked.

"It's the governor, he wants the prison." Carl told me. I remembered him telling me about the governor once before along with Daryl. He wasn't a good guy, he was going to kill us all now. He was the one to kill my uncle Merle.

"Get back inside." Dad told me.

"No, I want to help." I told him.

"Then go inside and get everyone to the bus." He told me. I nodded my head and sprinted back inside the prison. First, I ran to tell the kids.

"Lizzie? Mika? Molly?" The three girls ran down the steps.

"What's going on we heard noises." Mika asked.

"The governors here, you all need to get on the bus. Where's Judith and Luke?" I asked them.

"I'll get them, I'll make sure they get on. You warn everyone else." Lizzie told me. I nodded my head and ran to go tell all the adults. As I ran over to the other cell block I could hear gun shots, I didn't stop running though. All I could do was hope that they end up being okay.

"You all need to go to the buses; the governor is trying to take this place." I yelled. Everyone stopped what they were doing and quickly scattered from the cell block. I still had my back pack on my back and I ran over to the C' block. I grabbed my pistol and put it in my holster. I then grabbed my crossbow and ran out of the cell. I still couldn't shake the feeling that I was forgetting something.

Once I was outside I saw Carl running towards the cell block.

"Come on Ava we got to go!" Carl yelled over the loud and powerful gun shots that rang through the air.

"We have to find Daryl and Rick!" I told him. He nodded his head and we ran off looking for the two of them. Every so often we would have to kill a walker. I looked over and saw a woman pointing her gun at Carl, I pulled out my pistol and shot her in the head before she had a chance. Carl looked at me, his eyes were wide, stunned that I shot her. "Come on!" I yelled dragging him along by his arm.

"Did you see Judith?" Carl asked, bringing us to a stop. I turned to face him and nodded my head.

"Yeah, Lizzie took her to the bus with all the other kids!" He nodded his head and we took off. We continued to search for both Daryl and Rick. I watched as these people destroyed our home, blowing everything up, shooting at everyone in sight.

All I could hear were the gun shots and someone yelling Carl's name, it sounded more like coral then Carl but I could tell it was Rick. Carl and I then each shot down a walker revealing a very bloody Rick. Rick then hugged Carl. I could see blood coming from his mouth, I don't even want to know what the governor did to him.

"Judith. Where is she?" Rick asked.

"Ava saw her with Lizzie, they're on the bus." Carl told him. Rick looked a little happier knowing his daughter was okay. We started to walk away but before we got out I saw something I never thought I'd see, Judith's car seat. We walked closer to it but Judith wasn't in it and it was covered in a dark red substance. I put my hand to my mouth containing my gasp. The sight of baby Judith's blood brought tears to my eyes.

"No." Rick said. Rick began to sob and Carl looked like he was going to cry. By now I was crying hysterically, Judith's dead and It's my fault. I fell to my knees and stared at her car seat, the stuffed bear I found her a few months back laid inside it.

"Ava, we have to go." Carl said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I stood up and whipped my tears. I grabbed the bear and we started walking away. A walker came up to us and Carl shot it multiple times.

"Carl. Carl." Rick put his arms around Carl to get him to stop shooting it and they both cried, they cried for the prison, and all the people in it that were now gone, but most of all they cried for Judith. I should have taken care of her, I should have been there. "We've got to go. Shh. Shh. Shh." Rick said.

We left the prison and we didn't look back. I still held Judith's stuffed bear as I cried. It's all over, it's all gone. We are all too far gone.
