I was busy examining the black heels' fit on me through the full-length mirror when Lady Rhianne entered the room. I am currently at her mansion dahil dito dinala ang damit namin at narito rin ang mga make up artists na kinuha niya para sa amin.
"The cars are ready." Tumango ako sa sinabi nito habang inaayos ang spaghetti strap ng suot kong black long dress.
Ang kambal na lamang ang narito kasama namin dahil nauna na sina Rendon sa venue.
"I'm so excited to see the Mayor's daughter." Violett said.
"I heard she's ugly tho, kaya raw hindi ipinapakilala ni Mayor." Kumento naman ni Magenta.
"Magen, we all know how people are insecure about their family, syempre pinoprotektahan din naman ang pamilya nila." Violett said.
"Yeah right, have you seen her Lady? I heard she's at your party." Magenta looked at Lady Rhianne.
"I'm not sure. Late ko na ring nalaman na naroon siya. No one knows her anyway." Lady Rhianne said.
"Debut ba ang pupuntahan natin?" I asked since we're all wearing formal attire.
"She's 19 na raw. Sadyang bongga lang ang party." Violett said.
Hindi na ako nagsalita pa at naghintay na makarating kami sa venue. The venue was really elegant, halatang malaking pera ang ginastos dito.
"Ray? You're here?" Nagulat ako nang makita si Ray na nakatayo sa may entrance. Maging siya ay nanlaki ang mga mata nang makita ako.
"Jhie! A-ano'ng ginagawa mo rito?" Naglumikot ang mga mata ni Ray na ikinakunot ng noo ko.
"Lady Rhianne's invited and I kinda work for her so—,"
"Ahh! O-okay, magtatagal ba kayo rito?" Tumingin tingin siya sa paligid.
"Yeah, the Mayor's a potential investor so we'll be talking about business din." Si Lady Rhianne ang sumagot habang pinanonood ko ang mga galaw ni Ray. Something's wrong with him.
"Jhie, pwede ba tayong mag-usap?" He asked.
"Una na kami sa loob Jhie." Tumango ako kay Violett.
Ray pulled me somewhere. Nasa medyo likod na kami ng venue, there were some trees here decorated with some lights pero medyo madilim pa rin dahil iyong mga ilaw lamang sa puno ang nagbibigay liwanag dito.
"Ray, this is not the time to—,"
"Jhie..." I was shocked with how serious his voice was.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm... calling it off." Sabi nito at umiwas ng tingin. Lalo lamang akong naguluhan.
"Ang alin?" Sinubukan kong hulihin ang tingin niya pero pilit niyang iniiwas iyon.
"The fvck buddy thingy. Let's stop it."
"Ha?"
"I... I told you about my feelings for you, didn't I?"
"Ray, I told you—,"
"That you only see me as a brother, yeah I know. I just want you to know that nothing has changed. I am trying to let go of that feeling tonight so I told you that again. I'm sorry if I took advantage of you—,"
"Ray we both agreed to this set up." Pinigilan ko siya sa sinasabi niya.
"Yes but I still took advantage of you knowing that it is only me who has feelings for you." He bowed his head.
"So I'm telling you that I won't bother you with my feelings nor with sex ever again." Natahimik ako sa sinabi niya. This is so weird.
We heard an announcement saying the party's about to start.
