The sunlight filtered through the leaves of the dense forest, the mist that settled during the night slowly starting to fade. It was hard to tell that morning had arrived without the constant chirping of the birds.

Somewhere in the woods, from a cabin, hidden from the outside world, there was a cloud of smoke coming out of the chimney. Among the woods, where once a single trace of life was hard to find, there was now a family of four, enjoying their time away from the world.

The door of the cabin opened, a sharp wind flew across and hit the woman on her face. The woman hugged her body as she ventured out of the forest, the forest which was once her humble home and her escape, she now shared with her loving family.

The sun now perfectly reflected on her toned body, she hummed in pleasure as it offered a warm embrace, helped her to fight the cold. She silently, yet carefully walked towards the lake, to fish out some food for her family before they woke up.

Once she settled on the rock beside the lake, her companion, her loyal comrade walked towards her, dipping his head in the water to drink. The horse neighed as he nudged his head closer to the woman, the woman smiled and patted his mane.

" I will get some for you as well ". The woman promised her friend, the horse blew a silent agreement as he stood closer to the woman. She sighed as she focused on getting the food for her family, soon the fish caught her bait and she excitedly started pulling it out of the water. After a few minutes, she had filled out the bucket with fish that was enough for the family and her friend, the horse whined in excitement as he hoped that the woman would feed him soon.

" We have to gather some fruits, will you accompany me ? ". The woman asked the horse, who gently walked towards her, asking her to lead the way, the horse had accompanied her to countless battles, a short trip to the forest was nothing to him. The horse offered the woman to sit on him, while he carried her around but the woman refused.

" You are getting old, my friend, I will walk, your company is more important than that ". The woman sighed, she knew it was time to put him down, the horse was near its end, but she was afraid to let him go just yet. Now both of them ventured out in the forest, as the sun climbed its way in the sky, offering a light glow in the forest.

" The warmth is calming, don't you think ? ". The woman asked her companion, the horse whined again, the forest grew colder during the nights but mornings were refreshing. The woman stopped as soon as she spotted berries that were non poisonous, she plucked some out and fed it to the horse, he gently took the offering and licked the woman's face as a thank you.

She collected rest for her family as they thought about returning back. The woman liked to enjoy a fresh bath by the lake before her family woke up, she settled everything inside the cabin and took a change of clothes with her.

Before she left, she looked at the sleeping figure of her wife and two little kids that cuddled against her, a small smile crept its way on her face, she vowed to forever protect her family.

The woman locked the cabin door once she was out, the lake was a few meters away but she still wanted to be careful because you cannot let your guard down in the forest.

The moment, the woman reached the lake, she gently slipped her loose hanging shirt off her shoulders and then took off her pants. She dipped one foot at a time in the water to test the temperature, she smiled as she felt it warm against her skin, as if the night had no effect on the water.

She sighed as she walked deeper into the lake, smiling as the water surrounded her, she thought about settling on the edge while her whole body submerged inside the lake. She closed her eyes and let her head rest against the side, she enjoyed the silence while it lasted.
