Well, as we have reached the end of the story, I want to let you guys in and let you know the little things that inspired me to write the story this way.
Firstly, Freen's character is inspired by one of my favourite game's protagonists, Connor Kenway. While I know he is not a famous one, he has always carried a charm that made me like him.
With him having a father that was so self obsessed that he didn't even know the fact that his mother was murdered by one of his close friends. With him avenging his mother's death by killing his own father.
Everything about Freen was inspired through this character.
His fighting style
The choice of his weapons
The brutality of his murderers.

Next is Rebecca's character
While I didn't have much inspiration towards how to write her character in the story but Taylor Swift's song 'Archer' helped me picture the way I wanted her character to be.
The song revolves around a person's anxiety in a relationship and scared of abandonment. Just like that Rebecca's character also fears that everyone she loves would end up being taken away from her, first it was her brother and second it was her lover, Freen. But I feel like I wanted the character to move above this feeling and learn to live and I wanted Freen to play a huge role in it as it is the grounding principle of their relationship.
Be there when the other is at their worst.
Whenever the song played, I felt the urge to write the story, so much so that last year the song was my most listened to song on Spotify.
