Reanna was falling. Her Soulium shell, a testament to unimaginable technology, had fulfilled its ultimate purpose – destroying the detonator of the Honkai Fission Missile. Yet, even the pinnacle of human ingenuity couldn't defy the ancient myth; like Icarus, humanity seemed destined to burn itself in its reach for the sun.

Now, she plummeted towards the earth, her destroyed Soulium body fragmenting in the unforgiving air. Far below, she witnessed the final, heroic act of the 1st Herrscher, Welt Joyce. New York, a city teeming with millions, was being cradled by a gentle barrier, a final protection against the impending destruction, a shield forged to save over eight million souls from the madness of the Shicksal Overseer. She had foreseen this, warned him of the perilous path they walked, yet in this moment, there was no surprise.

She had long recognized Welt as a hero, a man burdened by the world's weight. And now, both of them, in their own ways, would offer their lives as a pyre to illuminate the path to salvation. For a Valkyrie, was there a more fitting end? Self-sacrifice, a final, bold stroke etched onto their personal records, almost a standard conclusion.

But...

If she could allow herself one regret, not as the S-rank Valkyrie, but as Reanna Brigantia... It would be the silent conversations left unspoken, the shared moments that would never be. If only she had allowed herself to trust them sooner, perhaps there would have been more smiles, more shared laughter with that boisterous, unconventional squad she had encountered. But the thought was ephemeral, dissolving like her physical form in the biting wind. Satisfaction, the sting of frustration, a profound sense of relief, and a quiet, aching regret bloomed in her fading heart as Reanna Brigantia gently closed her eyes, her life—

"Not so fast. Come with me," a voice, accompanied by a gentle, golden glow, wrapped around her disintegrating soul.

"Don't worry about it, Joachim... My life is about to end... It's over for me," Welt's voice was a fragile thread, barely audible above the sounds of the city's reprieve.

"No! I won't let you die! You're Welt! You're the hero who saved everyone..." The young boy, Joachim, wept, his small hands pressing desperately against the fatal wounds of his hero.

The sound of his name, spoken with such raw admiration, seemed to bring a faint smile to Welt's lips. Deep within his fading consciousness, the face of a woman surfaced, the one who had given him that name. "Welt... German for the entire world... I love that name. What about you?" His voice, though shaky, held a lightness, perhaps because he was finally releasing his grip on life.

"I... I love it too..." Joachim nodded through his tears, lifting his head as Welt's hand slowly rose. Something was leaving the dying man, preparing to find a new vessel, a new guardian, fulfilling a final will.

"That's good, Joachim..."

"From now on, you will bear this name and become the new WELT." The Core of the 1st Herrscher emerged, pulsing with gentle energy, hovering just above the palm of the fallen hero. "This Core is yours... along with the duty of protecting our world, Welt..."

"Your Hero... begs you to accept this." His eyes, once filled with the weight of the world, closed as his name and his solemn duty were passed to the one who remained by his side until the very end, the one deemed worthy of becoming a hero in turn.

She gave me my name.

W for Omega.

Welt for the world itself.
