Thank you for birthday wishes and for supporting messages. The war has come to an end with my country winning in retaliation. However peace is what matters and I am glad that it has ended now or for now. Anyways I have been super busy and occupied with my exams prep and I'll come back tomorrow to drop some love to each one of you. 💘
Here's a quick update on Anna.
P.s. pour some love.
“Thank you,” I murmured softly, appreciating their support.
Once indoors, they helped me change into dry clothes, wrapping me in warmth. Olivia then chimed in,
“I’ll go grab a cap for you, your head must be freezing.”
“I want a cap too!”
Rim exclaimed eagerly, her eyes sparkling with innocence.
They shared a light laugh at Rim's enthusiasm, but I declined, “No need, I’m fine without one.”
Olivia nodded understandingly,
“Alright, then I’ll bring you some medicine for your throat instead.”
Grateful for her consideration, I nodded in agreement.
Matilda, Olivia's younger sister, sat beside me, her curious gaze fixed on my face.
“Did you sleep in the pool?”
She asked, her innocent curiosity shining through.
I nodded weakly, replying, “Yes, do you sleep there?”
Tamimi couldn't resist teasing, “Oh, I doubt it. Matilda sleeps in a proper bed, right?”
Ignoring Tamimi's jest, Sylvia gently suggested, “Let’s give Anna some time to rest, everyone.”
With their support and understanding, I felt a sense of relief amidst the disturbance.
I let out a heavy sigh as the room fell silent once they all left. The monotony of confinement weighed heavily on me, tired of the same faces visiting, the food served on trays, the suffocating atmosphere. I longed to breathe in fresh air, to see something beyond these walls, to reassure myself that I wasn't captured in a cage.
Stepping out, I was met with the harsh reality of boundaries, the mansion looming around me like a prison.
In the darkness of the night, amidst the chaos of life, I found myself escaping through the back doors, plunging into the cold water. In that moment, I wished Tamimi hadn't intervened, wished I could have peacefully succumbed to death in Adam's arms.
But death wasn't the solution to all problems, a bitter truth that lingered in my mind.
Ignoring the inner turmoil, I got up and locked the bedroom door after the waiter left with the tray of medicines and soup. My hands moved mechanically to my wardrobe, reaching for my bag. I knew what I was looking for.
Pulling out the laptop, a gift from my mom, I settled into my chair. A surge of unexpected determination propelled me to turn it on, connecting to the internet.
Despite my confusion, my fingers moved with purpose, logging into my previously deactivated account with secret identity.
Clicking on Adam's profile, I typed a message, my heart pounding with uncertainty.
‘Hi, I know I walked out on you, and I shouldn't have. Deep down, I know you still care for me and would forgive me. I've decided to come back home. Addy, I miss you. I'm coming back to you. Please reply when you get this.’ sent at 2:30 a.m.
As I sat back, wide-eyed at what I had just done, a surge of conflicting emotions washed over me.
In the quiet of the night, I realized that even closed doors could open, sealed windows could be unfastened. There was power in faith, in believing in the unseen, in the necessity of love for growth and change. Giving up wasn't an option; it was a surrender to inner weaknesses. With love and faith, miracles could happen.
