~~~Leray P.O.V.~~~
I watch Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane walk off into the forest. I turn to Sensei. "What are we going to do?"
"Now that you have your golden weapon I will teach you how to unlock its true potential and your true potential." Sensei explains. He glances at Lloyd then at me. "I assume that the spell is still in place?"
"Yes." I sigh. My eyes lock with Lloyds, green eyes met brown. In his eyes I see hard hate and a wanting to kill... me. But swimming under the hate I see love and regret of hurting me. "Mostly..." I whisper.
Over the next two days Sensei teaches me how to unlock my true potential and my weapons true potential. By spinning then striking at an invisible target with my bow I can make my bow in to a glider. A glider looks like the wings and tail of a bird connected by a poll. If you know how to fly like a bird then using a glider is just the same.
On the third day Jay is the first to arrive in a jet and Kai only hours behind Jay, on a fire motorcycle. I give Jay the letter from Nya and for the rest of the day he is sad.
On the fifth day Cole returns in a car, he is dazed and barely able to walk so he goes straight to bed. Over the next two days there is no sign if Zane. Finally early in the morning of the eighth day Zane gets back and he gives me my crystal flute.
We gather in the dining room and I collect the elemental swords from Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane. Placing the weapons end to end along with one of my golden arrows, I say a binding spell.
"But I thought you couldn't do spells anymore." Kai says.
"I can't. I can only say the words. But I am not the one who is going to activate the spell." I explain.
"Who is?" Jay asks.
"Lloyd." I reply and explain, "We all have our golden weapons, except for Lloyd. This is how he gets his, from all of the elemental weapons combined into one. It is not like the mega-weapon." Gesturing to the weapons in front of me I say to Lloyd, "Step forward and touch them."
Lloyd steps forward and grasps the middle of the connected weapons. As soon as he touches it a blinding light flashes red, blue, white, green, and brown. It is so bright we have to close our eyes.
When I finally open my eyes I see a golden double ended scythe with emerald green blades, and Lloyd's ninja suit is green and a mix of the patterns on Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, and my ninja suits.
After a small celebration Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane tell about their adventures.
"Who is Prophecy?" Cole asks.
"Prophecy is a little girl-" I start.
But Kai cuts me off. "We already know that."
I wave my hand in a dismissing motion and continue. "She is the guardian of the elements. She has different forms when she enters a new element realm. She is also the one who gives us our prophecies. Without her there would be no green ninja or elemental ninjas.”
“What’s an element realm?” Zane asks.
“An element realm is like the Ice temple and the landscape around it. Same with the Lightning Tower, the Fire Temple, and the Caves.” I explain.
“So I’ve been thinking about the void and the shadow men.” Sensei says. “And I was thinking that we should do patrols around Ninjago.”
“Why?” Jay asks.
“It would be safer for the people, and there is a less likely chance that the shadow men well try to sneak up on us and attack.” Cole says.
We go up to the bridge room and organize patrols. I take Ninjago City, Jay takes the sky in his jet and Sensei does as well on the bounty, Cole takes the desert in his car, Kai takes the smaller towns and villages on his motorcycle. And we depart.
I walk down an alleyway in Ninjago City looking for anything out of the ordinary. My mind keeps racing back to Lucy so innocent and scared in the shadow man’s grip. But I couldn’t save her. If I had made one move, one word, the shadow man would have killed her.
A tear slides down my cheek and drops to the ground. Sighing I look up at the clouds and see a flash of gold out of the corner of my eye. I ready my bow and nock an arrow, raising my bow I start forward and look around the corner. A girl with gold hair disappears into the back door of a building.
“Lucy!” I cry out and chase after the girl. I enter the building into a small bright room. I look around for her and hear the door swings shut behind me. Harsh laughter bounces off the white tile walls. I have been tricked, and now I am trapped. Pink clouds surround me and I fall to my knees coughing.
