~~The next day~~

I am starting to think that I might have imagined the Fallen Star prophecy. The sky above me is a rich black with stars sparkling dimly. Their whispery voices are sad. I try to listen in on what they are saying but it’s hard to make out because they are so far away. Suddenly their voices rise as they panic. I look up. A golden streak lights up the sky as it rushes down to the earth. Squinting I can tell that it is falling straight down.

It looks fiery and kind of sparkly. But it will cause a great amount of damage and death when it hits. Every instinct tells me to run, to get as far away as fast as I can. But the trees, the wind, the earth, everything is screaming at me, “Go! Save the FallingStar!”

Falling Star? Is the prophecy coming true? Shifting into a deer I run to the gold streak.

A thunderous boom blasts through my forest, shaking the ground and knocking me of my feet. Shifting back to myself I cover my ears to block out the sound of trees crying out for help in their shaky voices as the burn.

Standing I command, "Ka ja tou!" and the fires stop. I start to run again grieving for the smoldering black trunks of my trees that whiz by me as I run.

Finally reaching the edge of a big crater I can see flecks of Gold Dust floating in the air. Rocks are glowing red and orange. The destruction is massive, my forest now has a scar and I am not happy, I am seething in anger

"Quez." the hot rocks and ground cool down. I walk forward and get to the bottom of the crater. A lump on the ground is covered with dirt. Kneeling down I move the dirt aside gently being careful not to hurt it. I see a girls face. She kind of looks dead.

I flash back to the first mural I had looked at in the Temple of Light, it mirrors the seen around me. My mind races back to what Mother Spirit said in the Spirit Forest, "A fallen star...” This girl was in a fallen star, she came out from the light of the star so she is the daughter of light.

Looking down at her sweet face I can see that she must be only 9 years old. Carefully I gather her in my arms, standing I walk out of the crater and deeper into my forest. Coming to a stream I cross my legs sitting down with her in my lap. I try to clean off the dirt that is still sticking to her.

Within minutes I can properly see what she looks like, long gold-blond hair in tied back in a ponytail, pale skin. She is wearing a gold top trimmed in silver thread with sleeves that end at her elbows and dark blue skinny jeans, attached to a leather belt is a dagger with an emerald and ruby studded hilt. The girl stirs and opens her eyes, they are a deep green.

First curiosity sparks in her eyes then they fill with pain and she cries. I cradle her and wipe away her tears. Carefully I run my hands down her, looking for broken bones.

Her left arm and two places in her right leg are broken. I heal the bones plus some other scrapes and scratches with magic, and then ask her, "What's your name?"

"Lucy."

"Any middle or last name?"

"Just Lucy."
