~~~Kai P.O.V.~~~
My cell phone rings so I pick it up and place it between my shoulder and ear so I can continue to play my video game. “Yello?”
“Hi it’s me, Leray.” says a high voice.
“Ok. What’s up?”
“I can’t get out of the city. Can you guys meet me in the park?”
“Shure.”
She hangs up and I go get the others.
~~Some time later~~
We walk in to the park and look around. People are throwing fries bees at each other or at their dogs, kids are playing on the playground and a girl is sitting on a bench reading a book. She looks up and walks over to us, pocketing her book.
She has soft curly brown hair that bounces as she walks, brown eyes and a pink hoodie with blue-gray jeans. “Well it’s about time you guys showed up.”
“Not now little girl, we’re busy.” I say.
“Kai. Take me to Sensei Wu.” She says through gritted teeth.
“Sorry kid not now, we’re looking for a friend.” Cole says scanning the park.
“Zane, brother help me out.” She says crossing her arms.
“Wait. Leray?” Zane asks her.
“Finally!” She says throwing her hands in the air.
“Are you ok?” Lloyd asks her.
Leray’s eyes widen. “I-I can hear you correctly. The spell is gone!” She smiles happily and wraps her arm around Lloyd’s waist. She’s so small, the top of her head comes to my elbow.
Lloyd kneels down and hugs her back. He stands and smiles at her, “Let’s get the Tomorrows Tea.”
We call Sensei and tell him what happened. Sensei tells us about the special herbal tea store and we set of.
“Where’s your bow and arrows?” Jay asks.
“Confiscated by whoever did this to me.” Leray replies flatly.
“And your ninja suit?” Zane asks his, now, little sister. Leray reaches behind her and pulls out her ninja suit in a wad from the hoody’s hood.
“And where’d you get the clothes?” I ask her.
“Lost and found.” She replies putting her ninja suit back in the hood. Determination sparks in her eyes. “We have to end this and soon.”
“And we will, but first we need to get you fixed up.” Zane says as he opens the door the special herbal store.
A bell dings and a woman at the counter turns around, “How may I help you?”
“We need Tomorrow’s Tea.” Cole tells her.
The woman nods and disappears into a storage room. We hear bottles clanking and muttering then the woman returns with a bottle of purple powder. She places it on the counter and Jay reaches for it. The woman slaps his hand away saying, “You need to pay for it first.”
I look at the others, except for Leray, and we all say at the same time, “Anyone have some money?”
Leray face palms herself and says, “I thought ninja were supposed to be prepared.”
“In our defense, we didn’t know we would have to save your skin. And you are a ninja to and it looks like you aren’t prepared.” Jay says hotly crossing his arms.
Leray glowers, her eyes narrowing into slits. Whirling around she mutters, “As much as I hate to do it…” Then speaking to the woman she says, “I’m offering a trade, my book for the tea.”
“Why would I want a book?” The woman asks. In reply Leray paces her small spell book on the counter. The woman eyes Leray as she picks up the book and flips through it. Symbols pop out of the pages and the woman drops the book as her hands fly to her mouth in shock. “Y-you’re a, a w-witch?!”
Leray shakes her head, “I was a magician, very different from a witch. A witch’s power comes from potions, they have no ability to use a wand or staff. A wizard’s and magician’s power is the same, but a wizard can do potions and needs a wand or a staff to use their magic. A magician cannot do potions and does not need a wand or staff to use their magic. I was a magician till I was robbed of my magic, every last speck.”
“I well except your trade.” The woman says and takes the book. Jay takes the tea and we leave.
“Can I have the Tomorrow’s Tea?” Leray asks Jay.
“Hmmm….No!” Jay holds it above his head making Leray jump up and down as she tries to grab it. Jay laughs, “Look at her she’s so small!”
“Hey!” Leray says and then she punches him with both her fists.
Jay looks at us, “It doesn’t hurt.”
Leray stomps on his foot and jay drops the tea into her hands. “Thank you very much.” Leray says and walks away.
We go to a store and wait outside as Leray goes into the girl’s bathroom. Many autographs later Leray comes back out, not a little girl any more, wearing her ninja suit. “We need to get back to the bounty. Sensei is expecting us.” Zane says. And we nod in agreement.
“Are you a new ninja?” A kid asks Leray.
“Yes I am. I’m the ninja of the forest.” Leray says as she ruffles the kids hair.
“You might want to stand back.” I say and the people back up. I take my sword from the holder on my back, I run my hand along the blade and it lights on fire. In a flash of light I am sitting on my motorcycle, Jay is in his jet, Cole is in his car, and Zane and Lloyd are on their motorcycles. We take off down the street.
~~~Leray P.O.V.~~~
Lloyd pulls me onto his motorcycle as Kai, Cole, and Zane take off down the road with Jay flying above them in his jet. I rap my arms around Lloyd’s waist as he puts the bike into gear and we speed down the road. “We need dragons.” I say.
“We have Ultra-dragon.” Lloyd points out.
“Ultra-dragon is your dragon. Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, and I need a dragon.”
“Where and how are we going to get dragons?”
“Fire Hills.”
“When well we get dragons?”
“Now.” I smile and whisper the words, "La neksa Relkshaw Soonna. La na-mo Kai. La na-mo Jay. La na-mo Cole. La re telm-quex Lloyd. La re-nux Zane.” Then we disappear and end up in the Fire Hills.
