Thicket flies towards a flower. It is no ordinary flower, it has white petals with flecks of gold. Using her own kind of spinjitzu, she dives toward the flower at a  ferrous speed. "What's she doing?!" Lloyd shouts.

"Taking us to the Spirit Realm!" I shout over the wind.

We cling to Thicket as she hurdles into the flower. Coming out into the Spirit Realm, I gasp. The smoky trees have been stripped of their starry leafs and toppled on the golden paths.

Thicket lands, stirring up the starry leafs. Spirits and animals drift out if the wreckage. Spirit children cling to older spirits, curiosity sparking in their eyes.

The Counsel steps out of the trees. Lloyd and I slide off Thicket's back. I run over to father and fling my arms around his wispy form. Father gives me a gentle squeeze then holds me at arm’s length. He smiles. "I am very proud of you."

"What happened?" Lloyd asks.

Crafting Spirit grumbles, "The shadow men came. They destroyed our realm."

"How? Shadow men are not permitted to enter any of the realms." I state.

"They traveled here by the shadows." Past Spirit sighs.

"I must speak with you." Mother Spirit says then guides me away from the others. We sit down on a smoky tree trunk and Mother Spirit says, "Do not lose hope. You still have magic."

I shake my head. "I will not use black magic."

"Not all black magic is used for evil." Mother Spirit says.

"Well I refuse to use mine either way." I say stubbornly.

Mother Spirit takes my hand in both of hers. "You magic is powerful. Yes, the void has striped you of your magic so that only black remains. But you are of the forest. You can heal what others cannot."

She presses my palm agents the smoky tree we are sitting on. The wispy gray wood stirs beneath my hand. Mother Spirit lifts her hands away from mine. Green fuzz spreads out from under my hand, over the log and spilling onto the ground. Lilies of the valley spring out of the moss. The little white flowers spread a sweet scent in the air.

"Your powers are stronger here. Yours and your friends." Mother Spirit stands up. "I believe you have some work to do."

I nod and stand. With the wind at my back, I race through the wrecked forest so fast that I am only a blur. Starry leafs swirl behind me in my wake. Lightly brushing my fingers against the trees and foliage, the spirit forest springs back to life.

When I finally stop, I am in one of the small clearings with a fountain. The fountain is dry, only a few small flakes of magic remain in the bottom. Walking around the fountain, I see Lloyd talking to Spirit Leader.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt." I say turning to leave.

"No, no. It is quite all right. I was just about to leave." Spirit Leader says pressing his fingers together, then he disappears.

"I don't remember him being so mellow." Lloyd says.

I nod. "He must be new. Before he would cringe at the very mention of my name." Lloyd gives me a questioning look, so I explain. "Before, when I wasn't so good, I completely demolished some of the realms. So he hated me ever since. But now that there is a new Spirit Leader, I can put most of that behind me."

Lloyd sighs. "What's wrong?" I ask him.

"I just got to know." Lloyd pauses.

"What?" I ask.

"After all of that, with the shadow men's spell and all... Do you still love me?"

I give him a soft kiss and smile. "Of course I do."
