The bounty lowers and Nya says, "Were here."
I walk to the edge of the deck and look down. "It feels so strange to be here without father." I say to Zane as he stands by me looking down at the tower.
"Is it hard for you to come back?" He asks.
"What do you mean?"
"You and father were imprisoned here. I was just wondering if it's hard to come back."
I smile. "No. It's like revisiting a long lost dream. My years here have been the best. My time with you guys has been the funest time ever."
He grins. "Funest, isn't a word."
"Too bad. It is now. I just made it a word."
The bounty hits the island with a slight bump. "Come on."
I jump over the railing onto the soft sand of the beach. Leading the way up the stone stairs to the tower. Placing my hand on the doorknob I give it a tug. The door doesn't budge. "Locked."
"I don't remember locking it." Cole says.
"Yah. We were in such a rush we didn't have time." Jay points out.
"It locks on it's own." I look up. "I'll be right back."
I begin to scale the tower's rocky side. "What are you doing?" Kai asks.
"Trying to get in."
"How?" Zane asks.
"The windows. They aren't covered."
The climbing is hard and I come close to falling several times. After almost an hour of climbing I am able to place my hands on the window sill. I pull myself up and then the rock my right foot is on falls out of the wall. Lurching down a few inches my hands slip till I am just hanging on by my fingertips.
It hurts. A lot. I don't know how, but I manage to pull myself up and into the tower. I lay there for a bit on the floor panting.
"I come to too many near death mishaps." I mutter getting to my feet.
I walk over to the stairs and slide down the railing to the door. Jumping down I open it and Cole says, "You or I could have used our elemental powers to open the door."
"Now you tell me?" I shake my head. "Whatever. Come on."
I lead them up stairs then grip the hilt of the hunting knife in the door. Yanking it down, a slot in the wall opens, revealing a small brown leather pouch. I take it and tie it onto my belt.
"Got it." I say.
"What is that?" Sensei asks pointing at the pouch.
"It holds the only supplies that could save our lives and all of Ninjago."
