Misunderstood (a Fred Weasley love story)

As next day came, I talked to Sirius more and Fred confronted me about who I was talking to. “Lizzie, I’m getting worried. Is anyone hurting you? If so you can tell me.” He said. “Fred, no one’s hurting me. I just like taking walks, that’s all.” I replied. “Ok. I believe you, now, can we go eat breakfast?” he asked. “Sure” I replied as we walked to The Great Hall. When we opened the doors, we heard Dumbledore saying, “So, this year we will be having a Talent Show! I know this quite unusual, but I figured this would help people have fun! The signup sheet will be in here. Now, let’s eat!” “Lizzie, you should sign up!” George encouraged me. “Yeah right, she doesn’t have an ounce of talent in her. I’m surprised she’s even a witch.” Hermione said. I dropped my fork and walked straight out of the Great Hall, I didn’t even hear Fred call my name.

                I stormed right up to the Griffindor Tower, said the password, ran up to my dorm and grabbed my guitar. I walked out by the lake and started singing one of my favorite songs.

                “I never meant to be the one who kept you from the dark But now I know my wounds are sown because of who you are I will take this burden on and become the holy one But remember I am human and I'm bound to sing this song

            As I strummed the last note, I heard clapping. I immediately turned around and saw Fred. “Wow Lizzie, you’re an awesome singer. Now, I’m going to make sure you sign up.” He said. “No Fred. I’m not a good singer. Hermione even said so.” As I said the last sentence I bowed my head down in shame. “Lizzie, look at me. You are the best singer I’ve ever heard. Hermione is just jealous. She knows how talented you are and she doesn’t want you to see it. She wants it to be all about her.” I looked at Fred and said, “Really, you believe that?” “I know that.” As he finished saying that I gave him a huge hug. “Thanks Fred. You’re the first person that has ever been there for me no matter what.

            Fred and I went back to the Great Hall after that and I signed up for singing. Fred even signed up for comedy. I bet he will have everyone laughing the whole time.
