They pull into the Applebee's parking lot and Brielle turns to Adam.

"Adam, we don't have to eat here if you don't want to. I know you must be sore." She says.

"Yeah, I kind of am..." He admits

"Well, why don't we go back to your house and I'll make us something?" She says.

"Alright. That sounds great." He says. They turn around and drive back to his house. They pull into the driveway and she helps him inside. She walks him to his couch and he lays down. She puts a pillow under his leg, and walks to the kitchen.

"So, what's on your mind? What would you like?" She asks.

"Hmm... How about a grilled cheese?"

"Coming right up!" She says. She makes two grilled cheeses, and brings them into the living room.

"Mind if we eat in here?" She asks.

"No, not at all." He says. She hands him a plate and he bites into the sandwich.

"Oh wow, this is amazing." He says with a mouth full.

"Thank you!" She says laughing. They eat in silence, until they're finished.

"Well, as much as I'd love to stay, I'm afraid I have to head home." She says bringing their plates to the sink. Adam gets up, moaning a little.

"Oh Adam, you didn't have to get up!" She says rushing over to him.

"It's okay, I'll just say goodbye here." He says. She smiles, and leans in for a hug. His arms wrap tightly around her shoulders as hers do the same around his waist. She snuggles her head into his warm chest, and he lays his down on hers.

"Brielle?" He whispers.

"Yes?" She answers.

"This may not be great timing, but, erm... I have feelings for you." He quietly says.

"You... You what?" She says lifting her head up, looking at him.

"I have feelings for you." He repeats. She smiles a little.

"I can't get you out of my mind." He says.

"Adam..." She says. He tilts his head.

"I have feelings for you too." She admits. She lays her head back on his chest. He lays his head back on hers.

"Now I really don't want to leave." She says, closing her eyes.

"I don't want you to leave either." Adam says. They stand together for a while, breathing in and out, feeling each others heart beat.

"So, now what?" Brielle finally asks. They break apart and stand looking at each other. Adam just stares at her, blushing.

"I don't know..." He quietly says. She makes a sad face.

"I'm sorry Adam, I really should be getting back home." She says.

"Oh, no, don't apologize. It's okay." He says, smiling.

"Well, I'll talk to you later." She says smiling back.

"Okay." He says.

"Can I call you later?" She asks.

"Of course you can." He quickly replies.

"Okay. Well, I'll let myself out. Bye Adam, I'll talk to you later." She says, and walks towards the door.

"Goodbye Brielle." Adam says. She closes the door behind her. A huge smile spreads across his face. He lays back down on the couch and turns the tv on. A few hours later, his phone rings.

"Hey Brielle." He says into the phone.

"Hey Adam!" She says, excited.

"What's up?" He asks.

"Nothing much, made it home safely. You?"

"Glad to hear! I'm good... So, Brielle, can I ask you something?" He asks, his heart pounding right out of his chest.

"Sure!" She says. He could tell she was smiling.

"When I'm all healed, do you um... Maybe, er... Want to go on a date with me?"

"Absolutely! I'd love to Adam!"

"Great! Okay." He says smiling and shaking.

"You really made my day Adam. Thank you so much for telling me. It was eating me alive, and then you said that and I was so happy." She says.

"No problem. I couldn't hold it in anymore. Ever since that night a few months ago, you've always been on my mind." He says.

"You've been on mine too, Adam." She says. After a few minutes, they hang up. Adam feels bad about ending the call so quickly, he sends her a text.

Adam: "I'll try to heal as quickly as I can :)"

Brielle: "Haha Adam, take your time. I'll come down and visit you this weekend, okay?"

Adam: "That'll be great, Brielle. See you then :)"
