A month goes by and Brielle gets better by the day. She starts to get up and walk around more, but she's still not good enough to go out anywhere.
Adam calls his mom and wants to go on a lunch date, and go ring shopping.
"Oh honey, of course! Congratulations!"
"Thanks mom. So I'll be ready in a while, okay?"
"Okay. See you then." Joan replies. They hang up and Adam turns on the radio in his room. No One Is Gonna Love You by Band of Horses is on.
"...No one's gonna love you more than I do..."
Adam smiles at the lyrics and thinks of Brielle. As soon as Adam thinks of her, she walks in his room in her robe.
"Oh, good morning love." He says smiling at her, turning the radio down a little.
"Hi." She says. He goes to her and kisses her cheek.
"How do you feel?"
"A little better."
"That's good." He says smiling. Brielle hears the song and smiles.
"Ohh...?" She smiles.
"Reminded me of you." He says wrapping his arms around her.
"Oh Adam." She says. They hug for a while, and then they part.
"So, I'm gonna go out with my mom today, just for lunch and stuff."
"Oh, okay. Cool." She replies.
"Will you be okay?"
"Yeah! I'll be fine. It'll be nice to have some alone time." She says. Adam looks at the ground pretending to be upset and walks out of his room.
"No, Adam, I didn't mean it like that!" She calls after him. He walks down the stairs and grabs his coat.
"Adam." She says.
"No, it's okay, I understand." He says walking out of the door. He starts down the road and looks at the coat.
"Why'd I grab this?" He quietly says turning around. He goes back inside and puts the jacket on a chair. Brielle comes over to him.
"Adam."
"Shh, it's okay." He says hugging her. He feels bad because he wasn't really upset.
"I love you." He says.
"I love you too."

Joan pulls into the driveway and Adam says goodbye to Brielle and goes out to her car. He opens the door and gets in.
"Hi mom." He says.
"Hi dear." She replies. They drive to a restaurant and have lunch, and then they head over to a jewlery shop.
"So, do you have her ring size?" Joan asks.
"Yeah, I do. When she was sleeping the other night, I measured her finger." He replies laughing. They head inside and look at some rings.
"Can I help you find something, sir?" A nicely dressed man asks.
"Yes, can I see this one?" Adam asks pointing to a ring.
"Of course, sir." The man says getting the ring out. He hands it to Adam.
"Mom, come here. This is the ring. This is the one. It's her size." Adam calls to Joan. She comes over and gasps when she sees it.
"Oh Adam, it's beautiful!"
"I'll take it."
Author's Note:
Hey guys! I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while! So terribly sorry. I hope you can forgive me... <3
Anyway, I'm not exactly sure when I'll update again... School starts on Wednesday (September 4) and I'm just getting ready and I'm sure I'll be super busy this year. Sophomore year, woohoo! I'm excited. Cannot wait to see my teachers and friends again!
So, I'm super bad at descriptions so I posted a picture of what I imagined the ring looks like :D
Anyway, I'm also sorry this part is so short. Ugh I should just stop this fanfic now. It's horrible. I'm sorry.
