I apparated right into the Hog's Head. "What are you playing at?"

Jolting from their seats, Abe and Albus stood in a surprised greeting. Even the great Professor Dumbledore looked shocked to see me there.

"How did you apparate past the barrier?" he questioned.

"There are holes in all enchantments," I quipped. "I understand that you cannot move against Grindelwald, but must you sit here and sip broth while we are out fighting your battles?"

"Albus, what is Nat talking about?" Abe posed, clearly confused.

"You didn't tell him."

"I didn't need to."

I scoffed. "You and your secrets."

"Countersight."

Countersight....A plan hatched in the back of my mind as the conversation paused, and I began to think that it might have been Albus' exact intent.

"Screw countersight," I argued. Grindelwald could be watching every conversation I was having. "Gellert has the ability to know all and you think that he will be fooled by something as miniscule as countersight, as having no plan or many overlapping plans?"

"What happened?"

Anger still fresh, fear still bubbling, I shook my head. "They took Theseus. Grindelwald followers, German Ministry workers, they took him."

"You'll get him back." His calm, all-knowing tone always grated my nerves.

"Gellert Grindelwald has been absolved of all crimes, and I am almost positive that he is going to be allowed run for leadership of the Confederation," I revealed.

Abe's face fell into despair, into concern, but Albus' remained taut, it remained calm.

"You shouldn't be telling me this."

"Because of your stupid plan?" I countered. "Merlin, Albus, you are an idiot. You can't fight him."

"Stop it, Nat," Abe warned. "You cannot give in to evil. You cannot give up."

"Like you have?" It hurt to say. "I'm the only one of us still fighting. I have spent the past five years waiting and searching for any information that could lead me to Credence, to your son. And what have you been doing? Serving firewhiskey and piss poor stew?"

"Do not be angry at him," Albus inputted. "You are going too far."

I took a deep breath. "I don't think I've been going far enough."

They both looked me at, appalled, and yet, understanding brewed underneath the surface. Albus was the one who answered.

"You're starting to sound like him." Grindelwald.

"Well, maybe he has the right idea about you. Cowardly and apprehensive."

The door to The Hog's Head let out a bang as a hand knocked harshly. Albus Dumbledore rushed to open it, spotting Minerva McGonagall on the other side, but I was gone when he returned.

"What are we doing?" I asked, appearing at Jacob's back, hands on his shoulders. I had followed them inside the German Ministry.
