What?! That was Baekhyun's written response to Kyungsoo explaining the whole awkward Jongin-was-about-to-kiss-him-but-didn't ordeal. Why didn't he kiss you?! Is he an idiot or something?! Baekhyun finished writing and set his pencil down, glancing up to make sure that the teacher wasn't looking before sliding it over to Kyungsoo, who read it and scribbled down a reply and sent it back to him.

I don't know...maybe he was scared. He seemed kind of nervous.

Nervous my ass!! Nervousness should never stop someone from kissing someone.

His phone did ring, though, so I guess it's okay.

No, it is not okay!! He should have just ignored his phone and kissed you!! Just wait until I see him. I'll give him a piece of my mind.

Please don't, Baek. Things are already awkward enough between us now and it's been almost two weeks since we spoke more than a few words to each other. If you say anything it'll just make it worse.

Wait, it's been two weeks and you still haven't talked? What is up with you two?? You're acting like a couple of fools, you know that?

What am I supposed to say to him? I mean, even if I did know what to say, it's not like he would listen. It's like he's avoiding me or something.

Ugh, that jerkface is really going to get it from me now. Before Baekhyun could give the almost filled piece of paper back to Kyungsoo, the teacher cleared her throat loudly, making his hand freeze in place.

"Mr. Byun, Mr. Do, is there something you would like to share with the class?" she asked with one hand on her hip.

"No, ma'am," Baekhyun said with slightly widened eyes while Kyungsoo just shook his head, crumpling up the piece of paper slowly in his hand.

"That's what I thought," she said, temporarily raising her eyebrows before going back to the lecture.

Ryeowook tapped Kyungsoo's arm and silently signed to him, Pay attention.

Okay, sorry, Kyungsoo replied, putting his eyes in front of him afterward. But only part of us brain was actually paying attention to what was currently going on around him. The other part was still worrying about Jongin and how they left things.

Ever since the day of their almost first kiss, nothing but awkwardness had grown between the two of them. They hardly ever saw each other and when they did it was usually by accident and not deliberately. Sometimes, Kyungsoo would make his way down to the practice room where Jongin taught his dance classes and just watch him as he moved around, smiling that lovely eye smile of his occasionally. The sight still managed to make Kyungsoo smile, but this time it was a somber smile; a longing and remorseful smile. Kyungsoo blamed himself partially for the two male's recent separation because he was the one who started it, he felt. A couple of days after he left Jongin's apartment with a perplexed heart, Jongin had actually tried to talk to him, but Kyungsoo was so nervous that he ended up making up some excuse and scurrying off. From then on, Jongin didn't try to talk to him or even approach him.

Maybe I shouldn't have done that, Jongin thought. Maybe he didn't want me to kiss him. Maybe that's why he won't talk to me now. All these thoughts and more floated around in Jongin's mind like an astronaut in space. And just like an astronaut, Jongin felt like he was lost in a mass abyss of stars and space. Chanyeol noticed this change in him almost immediately as he stepped through the doors of the restaurant. The usual cheerfulness in his greeting was gone and for most of the time that he was there, he seemed distracted. Chanyeol was never the type to show off his caring or compassionate side, but seeing such a pleasant person like Jongin in such a state of sadness made him really start to worry.
