That first kiss sparked a flame inside of both Kyungsoo and Jongin and that flame soon lit a fire. They went on four more dates in the week that followed, two short ones during their schedules and two long ones on the weekend. But regardless of what day they went on the dates, they always made sure to end it with a kiss. Each goodbye kiss seemed to be longer and more passionate than the last and some were hovering right over the line that discerned kissing from making out. The taste of each other's lips, they thought, was a taste that they had grown to love and didn't care to quit trying. Now, of course, all of this kissing got them very excited at times, but Jongin knew better than to push Kyungsoo into sex that early in their relationship. He decided that he would wait until Kyungsoo was ready because Kyungsoo, he thought, was worth the wait.

Their constant public displays of affection disturbed their friends. Sure, they were happy the pair had finally stopped beating around the bush and made it official, but the entire town didn't need to know about it. During school, they controlled themselves and settled with light pecks on the cheek or on the lips, but as soon as that last class ended, they were all over each other. Chanyeol and Baekhyun found this to be quite a disservice. Everything else they did was cute. For example, when Jongin would text sweet things to Kyungsoo or when they only used sign language to communicate; all of that was adorable. It was when their lips touched that things turned disturbing. Watching the two males attack each other's lips had become a daily show for Baekhyun and Chanyeol, with a new episode airing every minute. They didn't mind the idea of it, it was just the actual image that bugged then, especially when they would make out right in front of them like they were right now.

"God, they kiss so much, it's a wonder they don't suffocate," Chanyeol commented as he watched them from the dining area, leaning his head toward Baekhyun as he spoke.

"I know, it's so obnoxious," Baekhyun said. "I get that they're like completely in love, but do they really have to do that while we're here?"

"Apparently so," Chanyeol said with a heavy sigh, rolling his eyes and shrugging his shoulders. Baekhyun shook his head as he observed the two males, the smaller one sitting on top of the counter in the kitchen while the taller stood on his feet with his arms circled around the smaller's waist. They pulled back for a mere split second of oxygen intake before diving right back in, Kyungsoo's arm wrapping themselves tighter around Jongin's neck. "But you have to admit," Chanyeol added after a few seconds of silence passed, "they do make a ridiculously cute couple."

"True, but that doesn't mean they can make out like that in public," Baekhyun said.

"I wish I could have a relationship like that," Chanyeol said in a dreamy tone, his voice trailing off.

Baekhyun just glanced at him, sighing before saying, "You did once, but you blew it." Chanyeol's head was now lowered, but his brown pupils moved to the corner of his eyes so that he could see Baekhyun. "Besides, you wouldn't know how to have a steady relationship after all the one-night stands you've had. You may have a nice personality, but you are shallow when it comes to love." Chanyeol would usually butt in and try to defend himself, but he knew all too well that Baekhyun's words weren't a matter of opinion.

No one besides them knew it, but years ago when Baekhyun and Chanyeol first met, they used to date. Seeing Baekhyun for the first time was like looking into a crystal ball and seeing his entire future play out. Some would call it love at first sight and at that time, so Chanyeol and Baekhyun would have too. For a good portion of their two years together, they were much like the current Jongin and Kyungsoo, but as the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." Baekhyun just didn't expect that end to be so heartbreaking.

When he found out that Chanyeol had cheated on him with some girl he met at the bar, his whole world came crashing down on him and he didn't know how to clean up the mess it left behind. He didn't tell Chanyeol he knew right away because he thought that he was honorable enough to admit to his wrongdoings. But when weeks passed and Chanyeol acted as if the world was at peace still, Baekhyun knew he had to confront him. Baekhyun acknowledged that a drunken mistake and the lack of each other they had been seeing had carried the forbidden affair to him, as both of their schedules were filled to gut with finals at that time, but Chanyeol still had a choice the way Baekhyun saw it. And every choice comes with a consequence, especially the bad choices.
