Kyungsoo had the best night of sleep in his life that night, which was surprising considering how nervous he was to sleep next to his first boyfriend for the first time. Sharing a bed with someone, being wrapped in a strong pair of arms, feeling the warmth from someone else's body seep into his, and waking up beside someone especially: those were all new experiences for Kyungsoo and he was glad that Jongin was the one who stole them away.
Jongin's sisters arrived the next afternoon and fussed over how grown up their baby brother had become. The eldest of the three siblings, Jiwoo, was a prominent businesswoman with a big house, a husband, and two kids aged 7 and 4. Haeun, the middle child, was a singer and songwriter, who didn't like to brag about the artists she had written songs for but somehow also found a way to work it into a conversation. Like most people, they were surprised to find that Jongin was dating a deaf person, but they thought that Kyungsoo was a sweet boy despite everything.
After lunch, Jongin decided that it would be a good idea if he took Kyungsoo on a tour of his hometown and seeing as how they had no other plans for a few hours, he thought that walking would give them even more time together. So, with their hands interlocked and their fingers laced together, Jongin led Kyungsoo around his neighborhood, telling him funny stories from his childhood like the time he broke his ankle jumping off their neighbor's porch by dare. Then, he took him into town and showed him where he and his old friends would hang out on the weekends like the bowling alley, which inevitably made them go in and play a couple rounds. Kyungsoo found it hard to pay attention to Jongin as he put words to the places he was seeing, as he was too busy taking it all in with his eyes and letting the buildings tell their own stories. At some point when he looked over at Kyungsoo, Jongin noticed this and decided to just be quiet and enjoy his time with Kyungsoo, their hands swaying a little as they strolled down the road.
"Oh, yeah, and that was my first birthday party," Jongin said with an embarrassed, light laugh as he and Kyungsoo flipped through an old photo album in Jongin's bedroom.
Kyungsoo covered his mouth as he laughed. You were so cute, he said, glancing over at Jongin before gliding his eyes over the other pictures. Jongin laughed along with him, feeling slightly flustered as his mind was taken back in time. At times, he would look over at Kyungsoo right as his lips curved up into that smile he had fallen in love with, that alone being all it took for him to smile as well. What's this one from? Kyungsoo inquired, pointing to the picture after signing to Jongin. Jongin scooted closer to Kyungsoo and tilted his head to the side a bit so that he could properly view it.
"That was from my first ever dance class," he replied as he backed up a little, earning a nod from Kyungsoo. "I was only like six or seven."
I didn't know a kid could be so cute, Kyungsoo commented, making Jongin shove him lightly as he laughed.
"I'm sure you were the epitome of cute when you were a kid," Jongin replied, only getting an eye roll and a faint grin from Kyungsoo.
We're at your house, so let's not talk about me, Kyungsoo said in response as Jongin cackled. Jongin temporarily wrapped one of his arms around Kyungsoo's waist and planted a kiss on his cheek, the sudden feeling of his lips startling Kyungsoo slightly.
"I'm going to go get something to drink," Jongin said as he got off the bed. "Do you want anything from the kitchen?"
No, thanks, Kyungsoo said in reply, a small smile spread across his lips. Jongin nodded and then disappeared out the door, leaving Kyungsoo to continue looking through the album silently. Jongin opened the fridge once he was downstairs, bending over a little to peer into the fridge to see what was in there. He settled on orange juice and pulled the half-empty container out, shutting the door before going over to the cupboard to grab a glass.
