Add stared at the journal for a while before accepting the gift from Chung. The truth behind everything was going to be unraveled. I was extremely excited, as I eagerly stared at the literature.
"The diary is locked, so how am I supposed to--" Father started, but failed to finish his sentence. The locks suddenly burst open, as if it was sealed by magic. The obstacles disappeared, and all that was left was the book itself.
His eyes enlarged, he certainly seemed impressed with the witchcraft. "Well, damn. Tsk, so magic isn't that bad after all."
Proceeding with care and caution, he flipped open to the first page. He held the journal in front of him, as Eve, Chung, and I gathered and huddled around to read the messages together.
The first few ten pages or so were filled with regular entries anyone would shove into their diaries. Records of what they did, and stuff like that. Judging from the entries, Add and Ara were really happy together. However, that was soon broken, as the more serious side of things kicked in.

I felt pity for that poor soul. That was the only reason why I had done it, right? I saved Ace Haan from the blazing inferno that day, in some village not too far away from Lanox. He seemed to have been suffering a lot. I could relate, due to being in the slave trade during my childhood. There was also a fire at some point, before I dropped down to the Ancient Library. I didn't want anyone to experience that fate again, let alone a small child. I replaced both Amelia's and Ace's recollections, so Ace could've been added to the family. Amelia needed someone to be with her, anyway. Ara and I won't be here for much longer, so we can't be proper parents. I apologize. For your bubbling inquiries, whoever's reading this (my past-self, I assume?), Ace is NOT my legitimate child. Only Amelia is. But, that doesn't matter, now does it? A family is a family, no matter what.

Approximately one week left before it's time for Ara and I to be culled from this world. Our happiness wasn't guaranteed because of Luto. My 'eternal punishment' wasn't served after defeating the Yama Raja years and years back. However, a penalty is still required, according to the damned geezer, due to resetting timelines long ago, to save Ara. We had two choices: the death of us, the parents, or the death of Amelia and Ace, our children. I spoke to Ara about the options, and we came to an agreement that we'd sacrifice ourselves. Amelia and Ace have so much to live for. It's for the best. I did feel bad, for dragging my wife into this. Damn.

Quietly, Add flipped the page. I was sure that all four of us were in shock. Well, for Eve, perhaps not.

Past-self, please take heed of my words. In order to avoid this destiny, you must defeat Luto. Yes, you must murder him, and beat him into shreds, until there's nothing but dust left. He deserves it, after all! Kyahahaha! Eve and Chung will most likely aid you, and if they refuse to, use pure force. Take down the source of this misery and misfortune, remove the cause of this endless catastrophe, otherwise known as Luto! Ambush him by surprise, set up a trap, anything! Use any method, as long as it results in the bastard's death!

After conducting research about the peculiar Retired Administrator of Time and Space, he keeps a large key with him at all times, which stores his power. Destroy that first, and the rest will be a piece of cake. This information will hopefully guide you in your mission. I wish you the best of luck, because I wasn't able to do this myself.

Several hours remain. Amelia and Ace are still rather young, so we decided to leave Ann, the merchant, and the Red Knights in charge. Ruben was, and still probably is a peaceful place to reside in. Amelia, Ace, I'm sorry. Your father has failed you, but do remember that I love you two dearly, along with Ara. If you dare forget, I'll be quite disappointed. Tch! Freaking kids.

P.S. Past-self, I'm counting on you, and my hopes are high. You better not end up like me!

Add closed the book, standing still and quiet, as we processed the unraveled veracity.
