[Amelia's Point of View]
...
The woman situated at the distance mentioned Luto, the person who had apparently murdered my parents. Their past-selves came here to take their places. No, unforgivable! Anyone who worked with Luto had to die. Immediately. Even though she was apparently Ara as well, but different. That part still imposed great confusion to me.
I averted my gaze to the armies of shadows. Not again! They were a pain to deal with, given their numbers that seemed to reproduce quickly.
Then, I glanced at Mother. "I'll stay by your side to protect you, don't worry." I was trying my best to reassure her.
She gave me a weak, but bright smile. "Thank you, Amelia..."
"Such a strange phenomenon this is, with two Aras." Chung sighed. "Alright, as much as I'd hate to attack an old ally, despite the fact that both of you guys are separate, you're still Ara. Well, it can't be helped, if this version is a natural enemy..."
The boy's voice trailed off as he pondered for a split second before pointing his cannon into the air. "Aceldama! I will destroy you, for Add and the other Ara's sake!"
He fired multiple missiles into the air, as they descended down with countless mini-explosions, bursting the silhouettes apart. It was a pleasing show to watch, as they were shredded to their doom.
Surprisingly, there were no other shadows reforming. Even the Dark Ara looked shocked.
"N-No way! There should be more of them appearing by now...!" she stuttered.
"Not unless you know the exact mechanics of the enemies. You aren't aware of this, but my hometown was flooded and invaded by demons. Even my father, Helputt Seiker, was corrupted. So, after they were rescued, I learned all too well how the structure of demons and shadowy figures worked. Penetrate the vital points, and you're good to go, like I did with my Freiturnier." he grinned at his explanation.
"Heh, nice one, Chung. I'll commend you credit for that." Add laughed. "Kyahahaha! Now, how about that six versus one duel, hmm?"
After the her precious shadows were gone, she looked absolutely speechless. It was priceless!
Eventually, Dark Ara recomposed herself. "Are you sure about that, when the other me is in that condition?"
Without waiting for a reply, she suddenly began to charge at me, readying her spear for a swift thrust. Her targets must have been Mother and me! Mom was heavily dependent on me, as she was leaning towards my side. There was no way I could block the attack like this, despite my short statement earlier! Both of us were vulnerable!
"AMELIA!"
Just in the nick of time, I found Ace standing in front of us. The lance hadn't pierced through his body, he was gripping onto the blade with his hands as it almost reached his abdomen, keeping a firm grasp to hold it back so it doesn't touch him. As payment, however, blood was rapidly rushing through his veins, the sharp steel was embedding cuts onto his palms and fingers, the red substance was dripping and dropping everywhere.
"Ace!" I screamed.
His eyes ignited with rage. "Don't. Touch. Ame. With. Your. Filthy. Hands!"
"So your knight in shining armour came to the rescue, how cute!" Dark Ara cooed, withdrawing her harpoon forcefully and taking a step back, inflicting even more pain.
Given the chance, Eve stepped in, defending Ace, who was protecting me and Ara.
The Nasod pulled out a machine gun from out of nowhere, firing plasma fragments at the opponent. "Atomic Blaster!"
As Dark Ara was pushed back, Eve set up a large shield, covering the four of us. "Atomic Shield! Eve will now proceed to take defensive and passive measures. Ace and Amelia, please advance to the battlefield. You may leave Ara's safety in my hands."
We both nodded, running to aid Chung and Add, as the barrier reduced in size to burn less of the Queen's mana.
