[Ace's Point of View]
...
Despite the state of my hands as they bled out from Dark Ara's harpoon, I still had to fight alongside the ones I loved. As long as I didn't engage in hand-to-hand combat, I would've been fine, right? Dynamos didn't require direct physical contact with them, my fingers simply had to wave the high-tech weapons around, giving out various commands to work with.
Even so, the injuries still stung, hurting just as much as the wounds on my back. For Amelia's sake, I didn't mind bearing these with me. It was all for her. Almost everything I did was for the well-being of my former sister.
Would this be considered a sisterly complex? I wasn't even sure anymore. Technically, I wasn't a member of the Haan family anymore. Unless they still chose to have me as an adoptive son, in which I would be grateful for.
...
As Father probably loathed her more than anyone else because of what she did to Ara, he had a head start on the attacks.
I usually hated violence, but this was different. Following in Add's footsteps, I sent out empowered kicks at Dark Ara, boosted with the power of my dynamos. Since my arms weren't usable, my only choice was to rely on my legs.
From another angle, Amelia was up in the air, diving diagonally downwards to send out phantom claws at her along with the swings of her spear.
And from another, Chung was doing a combination of cannon smacking and spinning, seeming like he was a hurricane tornado.
"Agh...!" Dark Ara winced.
Add shouted, more pissed off than ever before."Snap out of this nonsense, will you?!"
...
When the battle had reached midway, a disruption occurred. We were all quite worn out already, especially Dark Ara, since she was fighting alone against the four of us. An elderly, wrinkly man with an odd, purplish shade of skin appeared from the deepest of shadows, sitting on a white chair that seemed to have served as a wheelchair, holding a gigantic key with him.
"Hello, beloved friends! Nyehyehyeh..." he gagged, tapping the key on the ground twice.
Add grit his teeth. "Luto! We are not buddies, you asshole!"
"My, what have I done to earn this?"
"EVERY SINGLE ACTION YOU'VE COMPLETED UP UNTIL THIS POINT."
Standing up, he slowly approached Dark Ara, as we all stood there in silence. "Nyehyehyeh, how mean... Anyway, perhaps it is time for me to shine. Ara, hmm. I don't have use for this puppet I will release you from my guidance, or rather, I will now dispose of you."
She blinked, her eyes enlarged. "D-Dis...pose?"
"Ah, yes, yes. Come now." Luto reached out to grab her.
Attempting to escape, Dark Ara failed. In a flash, Luto had somehow managed to clench onto her neck, choking her.
"Wait! This is wrong!" I cried.
"Oh? But isn't it just as bad, quarreling against her?" he smirked.
"No! This is just so she snaps out of the spell you put on her, right..?! You're going to kill her at this rate! W-We... we don't want that! We don't have... the intention... of ending her life!" I argued, dashing up to the two.
Luto vanished, and reappeared in a different location of the room, still clasping onto her throat area. When a pulse was no longer heard, he released her onto the ground.
We all stood there in shock, unable to do anything.
He kicked her in the stomach just to be sure, and surprisingly, a scream escaped from Dark Ara's mouth.
"Impossible!" the old man exclaimed.
"Resurrection..." she muttered, forcing a smile. "It's alright. I-I know... I deserve this. I just wanted to say... A-Add and team... defeat Luto for me! I apologize... for what I've done."
The geezer shoved his key into her stomach, as blood splattered everywhere. It wasn't a pretty sight to see.
I felt useless. We couldn't do anything about the situation.
"The real battle begins at this moment, fools! Nyehyehyeh!" he japed.
