[Amelia's Point of View]
...
We rushed through the empty and isolated village of Bethma, and onward to Altera. Passing through the Bethagara Falls (it was tempting to dive into the water, simply to defeat this terrifying heat of the desert canyons), the Dicey Sky Road (the wooden bridges were high up, which was also a horrifying experience to cross, although it was the one part of Bethma that actually had wind and breeze, so all the same, it was relaxing), and the Toretugera Canyon, the trip became tiring.
As much as I wanted to take a break for the cold drinks and fanning, I forced and pushed myself to keep going, all for Ace's sake. Hmph! He should be glad I was doing this all for him! A-Ah! But, it wasn't as if I liked him that much, anyway! He was just family. Yeah, just family.
When our destination was close by, an interruption had promptly occurred. Two figures approached us; two females. No, scratch that. One male, and one female. The female had wavy, silver hair, shimmering orange eyes, and a black outfit with mini spears encircling her. Definitely seemed like she wasn't somebody you'd want to mess with. The male had straight blonde hair, which was as long or perhaps even longer than the female's, which was indeed, saying something. His white and blue armour looked like it'd belong to a knight of some sort. He carried a cannon with him, despite his small stature.
"Add!" the boy shouted.
Soon enough, both strangers stood in front of us. Or at least, they were strangers to me. If they knew Add's name, then chances were that they were friends, or acquaintances of some sort.
"Chung? Eve?" Add blinked. "What the hell?! Why are you guys here?!"
"This reminds me of old times, back in Hamel." Chung chuckled wholeheartedly. "It's been, what? Ten years? Well, probably much less for you, since you're the Add from the past, aren't you? Before you ask, your present-self visited Eve and me, explained everything in a letter, and vanished afterwards. He also entrusted us with a diary, saying that your past-self would claim it when the time came. So, his predictions were that you'd be around here, around this time, so that's why we're here." he smiled.
"Ten years, huh?" Father blinked once more. "Damn. The only difference I see in you regarding aging is that you're slightly taller, but nothing more. As expected, Eve hasn't changed, being a Nasod and all. Huh."
I stood there, impatiently tapping my foot on the hard, rocky canyon ground. I cleared my throat, waiting for introductions.
"Oh, right. So, apparently, this is my daughter, Amelia Haan. I also have a son, apparently as well, named Ace Haan." Add bluntly stated. "But, he was kidnapped by shadows, so we're going to save his ass, along with Ara."
"Information has been successfully inputted into Eve's database. Analyzing..." her monotone voice uttered. "Analyze complete. System check; all green. Humanoid-Type, Nemesis Code: Eve, Queen of Nasods, at your service."
"The Ara from the past was captured, too?!" Chung shook his head in worry. "Eve and I will assist you in your quest, to repay the help you've provided during Hamel's crisis ten years back."
I was still waiting.
Chung finally turned towards me, holding out his hand with a grin. "Chung Seiker, nice to meet you, Amelia."
I shook his hand, smiling in return. "Likewise."
"Now, back to the point. Here's the book that your future-self wanted to give you." Chung pulled out a fancy purple and black journal, with locks and rusty steel chains adorning its front, sides, and back. "I'm not sure what's in it, but I suppose that shall be unraveled now."
The truth behind my parents' disappearance was finally showcased.
