His POV
We finished our shower and dressed. Leaving out, I drive Sabine to her parked car. It's a quiet ride. As we pull up beside her car, I sit back.
"Thank you again for coming and getting me." She says.
"No more going to bars," I tell her.
"I've learned my lesson. Now I got to come up with something to tell my mom, "
"I'd call that so-called friend and make her cover for you. It's her fault for leaving you last night, " I tell her.
"What will you tell your dad?" she asked me.
I smile. "I'll come up with something, don't worry," I tell her.
She leans across the seat, and our lips touch. It's a small kiss. "See you this weekend," She says.
"I'm keeping that video on my phone," I tell her.
She blushes. "I really wish you wouldn't."
I smile. "Don't worry, only for my eyes, Bean."
I watch her get out and wait until she has left the parking lot before I leave heading home.
Dad is up as I enter the house he has breakfast going. He doesn't say anything at first. I go up to my room to change clothes, then head back down to join him.
"So what was so important last night you had to leave without telling me?" He asked.
"A friend of mine needed my help." I tell him.
"Is that why you have a black eye?" He asked.
I'd completely forgot about that. "Yeah, I kinda got into a fight," I tell him.
"What kind of a friend was this." He asked. I look down. "That girl you been seeing," He asked. I just nodded. "I see. Is she trouble?" he asked.
I laugh "no she was out with a friend, and her friend left her she texted me because she didn't want else to do."
"So how you end up with a black eye?" He asked.
"Some guy was trying to get her to leave with him, and I had asked him politely to keep his hands off her, but he didn't listen," I tell him.
"You're lucky to be alive." He says, "How they even get in a place like that."
"Fake IDs, Dad teenagers still do that, you know." I tell him.
"You better not," He says.
"I'm not interested," I tell him.
"So where did you go afterwards." He asked.
I hated all his questions. Why couldn't he just let it alone.
"I took her to a hotel for the night. Because I didn't want to bring her here and taking her home wasn't an option, " I tell him. "Don't worry, I used my own money, not your card." I tell him.
"I'm not worried about you using my card, Adam. You're doing things you don't normally do." He says.
"If I hadn't gone, she would have been dead or raped or both. And that would have been over my head for the rest of my life." I tell him not holding in my anger.
"Alright, son," He says.
I get up. "I'm not hungry," I tell him. "Just so you know, they were giving her drinks. She was drunk, and she's never drunk a day in her life. So when she called, I knew I had to go get her"
I head towards my room, closing my door as I get there. My phone buzzes in my pocket. I pull it out to check it.
