Her POV
4 YEARS LATER
Everything had claimed down after the tral ended, and mom got settled. I would go and visit her Wednesdays and Tuesdays she seemed good, but she still struggles with what was right. Dad had pulled through barely, but he pulled through the bullet and missed his heart about an inch. The impact is what hurt him the worst.
I smiled as I watched the waves splashing up onto the sand. We were out here vacationing all of us. Even Traver Adam's dad was there.
I lay as I watched Wynter running through the sand. She looked so happy. Her blonde pigtails whipped in the wind.
"Mommy, mommy." She should happily
"What?" I ask, a smile on my face.
"Look what I found," She says, showing me the oyster she had found.
"Oh, that's beautiful, and it's still closed. Let's take it to Daddy. Let him open it and see if there's a pearl inside." I tell her.
Her little blue eyes light up. "I can't wait to see it," She says
We start up to the beach house we're staying in. Molly and dad are out back fixing dinner while Traver was, and Adam was enjoying a beer out on the deck.
"Hey, beautiful," Adam says as we make our way up.
"Look what I found, daddy:" Wynter says.
He smiles. "That's beautiful," he says
"Mommy said you can open it." She tills him.
He takes his pocket knife out and starts opening the oyster up. Wynter's eyes widen as he opens it up.
She gasped out. "There's two of them," She says.
"Yup, one for you and one for mommy," Adam tells her he truns to show me the pearls. "Sabine Landrace, will you marry me?" he asked as he showed them to me.
I look up at him. "Are you serious?" I ask.
"Yes," He says
I smile, forgetting the pearls my arms wrap around his neck.
"Yes," I scream out.
"Mommy the pearls," Wynter says.
"Oh, oh," I say, looking down at the little pearls in the oyster they were the perfect size for a ring.
"Their beautiful," I whisper.
"I'll have one made for you and Wynter," Adam tells me.
"Did you plan this?" I ask.
"The pearls no, asking you to marry me, yes. It's not exactly like that, but it worked for me. "
I smile, and he pulls me into his arms. "I love you," I tell him.
"I love you,"
Our lips locked, "Dinners ready," dad says
I smile. We all sit down to eat. I was happy. That night, Traver kept Wynter as Adam, and I went out to celebrate our engagement.
"Are you happy?" Adam asked as we walked hand and handed along the beach.
"Very happy"
He truns to me. "Me too,"
I lean on my tip toes, kissing his lips. His arms wrap around me as we deepen the kiss.
"Adam, I'm ready," I tell him.
He nods, "Understand, taking me to the house, he leads me through the dark halls towards our room." Being careful not to make any noise when shouting the door.
