Their Side Or Mine? (Splatoon Fanfic)

Intro

I gladly skipped out the door with wide arms. I took a deep breath of the fresh air. So fresh. I strides off the doorstep with my favorite red hoodie, my red high tops, and my studio headphones. I stopped at the train station extra excited for today.

Sorry I haven't introduced myself, I'm Aurelia, I'm 15 and a squid-kid. Yeah sounds weird right? Well I'm traveling to the most popular city on our continent for the most well known sport in all of the world. Turf Wars.

I stepped on the train and made my way to Inkopolis. I never realized how big it was. The train came to a stop and I jumped out. I followed the pathway inside of Inkopolis. It was amazing. Squid kids strolled all around and the buildings were huge. I could hear music everywhere. Suddenly a big screen turned on and two squid girls stood there. "Hold onto your tentacles," "It's Inkopolis news time!" They said almost reading each other's mind. I listened intently but that only seemed to be a small hint on what would happen.

I walked by and I noticed other kids looking at me and whispering "Who's that girl?" "She must be new." "She's hardly even fresh." I heard some whisper. I kept walking and walked into a green store. A turtle-like creature was inside. He showed me weapons and how to use them but in the end he just gave me a splattershot jr. I had one when I was a kid, it always felt so natural in my hand. Hmm maybe I should practice.

I walked out and noticed a girl coming towards the green store. She was wearing glasses, a green shirt and matching green Lo-tops. She nervously walked up to me. "Hi, um do you happen to know where I would go for Turf Wars?" She asked. "I'm sorry no, but I'm new too so maybe we could try this out together." I said. Her eyes lit up. "O..ok, um I'll meet you at the battle dojo then." She said pointing to the blue building across the center. "Okay." I said I walked over there and stood by the door waiting for her to come.
"Here we come Turf Wars!"
