I waited next to the battle dojo and saw her come out I waved at her from over the balcony and she waved back. She ran towards the stairs and came up. "I got my splattershot jr. Are you ready?" She said. I nodded. We stepped inside. It entered our names and I saw hers. Retena. Hmm.
We were suddenly teleported and were in a strange place. It was a small area with lots of boxes around, it looked like a warehouse. I had my splattershot jr in hand and I stepped forward. My ink was orange and her's was blue. I covered as much land as I could I felt something poking me inside my shorts I felt around and pulled out a small triangle with ink inside. I picked it up and threw it as far as I could and it suddenly expanded and blew up. Ink bombs? I went back to splatting the ground when it said low ink. I turned into a squid and somehow absorbed the ink.
I noticed a strange pillar and I made my way towards it there were balloons there and out of instinct I shot them suddenly I noticed a blue version of the ink bomb I threw I panicked and turned into a squid and tried to swim away even though I was able to swim away the bomb still hurt me. There was blue ink all over me now. I turned around and noticed Retena up on top of a crate shooting towards me. I made me way around and threw a bomb right where she was standing. "Ah!" She yelled before turning into a squid and jumping off the crate causing her to land in my ink. "I've got you now!" I said running over to where she was stuck. She was trying to move through my ink. Her ink supply was empty and I aimed my splattershot at her. "Ow, that kind of hurts" she said before splattering into orange ink and respawning at the top.
The match ended and we came out laughing. "I never caught your name." She said. "Oh, my name's Aurelia." I said holding out my hand. "Retena." She said shaking mine. "Friends?" I asked. "Friends!" She said smiling.We walked down the stairs together and talked. Her name was Retena Orsha. She had big deep black eyes and black hair that made the white part stand out. She was very pale and was very nice. Her hair sort of looked like the males but was still very pretty. It was short but it stood out.
I had long naturally light blue hair but most of the time it was orange. My eyes were green and I had annoyingly long eyelashes that always managed to get in my eyes. I was sort of tan and I always wore shorts. I'm pretty sure everyone else did too. We sat down on a bench and talked more. "Well I think that was enough excitement for me today, I'm gonna go home." Retena said. We waved goodbye and she hopped on the train and went on her way home. I sighed and walked across the center towards the big building. Squid kids stared at me disapprovingly. I would show them.
