We hopped off the train and headed towards a backyard. "Star where are we going?" I asked clinging to her arm. "My house." She said. I looked forward. There was a towering tree in the backyard. "Is that?" "My treehouse." She said smiling. I smiled a little and wiped off a tear. We ran towards the treehouse, not bothering to open they gate we hopped the fence and ran straight to treehouse. "Go ahead and climb up!" She said. I grabbed the first piece of wood when I felt a boost. I screamed as I flew up. "Don't freak out! It's just a boost!" Star yelled from the bottom.
I got myself together and grabbed the edge of the of the steps. I pulled myself up and rolled over. Star pulled herself up only a few seconds later and laughed. "Your reaction was hilarious!" She laughed. I tried not to smile. "Meanie." I said letting out a small giggle. "Well.. Come in, come in!" She said running up the steps to the treehouse. I followed her inside. The place was filled with boxes of gear and weapons. I walked over to one and picked up a small machine gun like item. "Whoa! What is this?!" I asked. "It's a Heavy Splatling, I got one of the first ones to be released." She said. "When did you get it?" I asked. "Today actually, after the squid squad split I bought it, put it in here and hopped on the train. Then I got your text and got there as soon as I could." Star said holding a complicated piece of headgear. "And what's THAT?!" I asked. "These are Stealth Goggles, got them today too, I also bought a Slosher, they used up half of my money but I'll be able to get it back soon enough, as long as I win enough ranked battles." I smiled. I hugged her. "You're like a big sister to me." I said. She patted my head and I backed away.
We both smiled. And jumped down from the treehouse. "Ready to ink?" "You better ink." I said jumping the fence. She smiled and chased after me. We met at the train station and headed to Inkopolis. We hopped off the train and ran across the lobby. We joined a Turf War and I dominated. I got the second highest score on my team and splatted five kids. I smiled in victory and Star gave me a high five. For a newbie with a roller even I couldn't hit you, you moved so quickly and dodged all of my charged shots. You've got some serious talent kid." She said giving me a thumbs up and a smile. I smiled back even ignoring the fact she had called me a newbie. I was glad that she said I had talent.
We left the game and I had leveled up again. The sun was set already. "I'll be going now, meet you tomorrow. And cheer up!" She said smiling and patting my back before running to the gate and waving goodbye. I checked my phone and looked at my messages.

I smiled. Just a few more. I thought. I ran back into the lobby. Over and over we won, while they cover my flank, spraying more paths to help me take out any enimies, of course I had to die a few times, I was new. But rollers took relentlessness, bravery, fast thinking, strategy, and improvising. Perfect for me. Whatever made me multitask always made me better. That's why a roller was perfect. And having splat bombs was almost like having a gun. I could hit them about three time or so and they'd die. I quickly got to level 9 without trouble. I was on the verge of level 10. One more.. I tapped the Turf War for the last time being under level 10. We teleported into the game.
'Kelp Dome'
The game began and I immediately sprung backwards covering the background of our base in green ink. I then sprung to the right and hopped over the barrier repeatedly slamming my roller. I rolled forward covering their ink and splatting three of them just by rolling through the center. Suddenly a stream of purple landed next to me. I turned and saw and E-liter 3K aiming for me. I quickly jumped away from the glowing purple line and hopped away throwing bombs at her while transitioning from squid to kid my team was dealing with the rest of the team and securing the areas. I left that side but monitored her movement so she wouldn't get and advantage on the middle. I spread a bit more ink and my special gauge opened. I gladly tossed my roller and pulled out the ink Zola I immediately unleashed it on her and took out two more squids with the remaining ink Three of them tried to enter from and area in which I splatted them all with my splat bombs and roller. The match ended and once again I had the most points. The points never mattered though. Only my level.
Level 10
