Chapter 12 (Give Life Its Time)

''What's up with you?'', I snapped, making furious hand gestures.

''What do you mean, what's up with me? You're the one bringing home random assholes that lick your face!'', he yelled back.

''Justin! Seriously! How is it any of your business what I do? Besides I apologized, what's the big deal?''

''There's a lot of stuff going on in my life! It'd just be easier if you left our god damn house!''

My breath was caught for a minute. I felt as though I had been just pushed off a cliff. Justin bowed his head in shame, shortly after he had let out his sentence.

I grabbed my schoolbag, my phone and made a dash to the front door.

Fortunately I had my shoes on.

I opened the front door and slammed it right after me. I felt a lump form in my throat. A tear slipped out of my eye, but I quickly wiped it away.

I was on Justin's porch, clueless of where to go next.

I started walking down the road, when I suddenly heard my name.

''Katy!'', a male voice called. It was Justin.

''Come. I'm sorry.'', he said, loud enough, for me to hear him.

As we were both quietly sitting in his bedroom, I quietly muttered: ''Can you please just tell me what's going on?''

He ignored me and sat there for a few seconds.

''Justin, please, why would I not care about something that happened to you? Please, tell me. Talk about it.'', I begged.

He awkwardly shifted backwards, leaning against the wall. His head tilted backwards, hitting the wall as well.

''You don't know me. Why do you care...'', he began, but then heaved a sigh.

''I just do, okay? I've been living here with you for a week now. Why can't we just be friends? I know you're the famous Justin Bieber that everyone wants to be friends with, but I mean it.''

''I can't tell you.''

''Whatever, you're hopeless.''

I arised and exited the room slowly.

Unexpectedly I felt a hand grip my arm and jerk me back. My eyes met the beautiful set of hazelbrown eyes.

''Selena cheated on me.'' Justin blurted out.

I could sense my jaw dropping and I was staggered. I plopped back down again, with Justin's grip still tight.

He let go and cupped his hands. His eyes dropped to his hands.

''How did you find out?'' I finally asked.

''Dan, my guitar-player, sent me a picture of Selena and some brown-haired guy kissing. It wasn't even kissing. They were making out.'', he spat angrily.

He kept tightening his jaw and I could tell he was utterly furious. He said his sentence with a twist of jealousy and disgust.

''Did you talk to her?''

''Yeah, I called her and broke up with her straight away.'' His eyes were glistening.

''My mom used to tell me that everything comes, how it has to come. If it's meant to be, it will be.'' I assured him.

''Eventually you'll get over it.'' I added.

He nodded in agreement and then whispered: ''Thanks Katy.'' His lips formed into a small smirk.

The awkward silence seemed to be time-consuming, because the time passed briefly.

''Hey, what if we go to Disneyland tomorrow?'', I abruptly chirped.

A surpised look fell onto his face.

''Disneyland?''

''Yeah! Trust me, it'll be fun!''

''But... I'm famous. Sorry to put it that way, but it's true...''

''So? Never heard of a disguise?''

''I guess that'll work'' He sheepishly grinned at me.

''Oh wait! Shit! I have school tomorrow... Well... It's friday...''

He had a mischievious smile on his lips.

''What if we both go with a disguise? You don't have to go to school.''

''Maybe.'' I simpered at him.

''Most likely...'', he corrected.
