Chapter 10 (White Lies Part II)

Rewind:

I ran out of words to say. I silently sat there, not expecting anymore answers by my mom. She told me, and I was glad she did, but the truth hurt. I wish, I would've known about my half sister earlier.

My mom and I talked for hours, until she fell asleep. I then silently exited her room.

I called James, asked him to pick me up and he said he would be here in 20 mins.

When I left the elevator on the ground floor, I walked towards the waiting room. When I turned the corner I stumbled over someone's foot. I was extremely caught up in thoughts, so that I totally didn't pay attention to where I was going.  I stood up and turned around, to see the boy from earlier simpering at me.

''Gotta watch where you're going.'', he mumbled, still simpering.

I wiped the dirt off of my knees and sat down.

''An easy 'sorry' would've been all I asked for.'', I mumbled back, while grinning.

He looked at his iPhone in his hands and then back up, at me.

''So, why're you here?'', he asked. I noticed he had blue eyes that sparkled in the light.

''Long story...'', I muttered quietly.

''I'll listen.''

''Why don't you just tell me, why you're here?''

''Friend fell off his bike, now my friends are seeing him.''

''How about you? How come you're not with them?''

''To be honest, he isn't even my friend. He's a real douche and I couldn't care less about him...''

''And why is that?''

''Had some fights in the past... Now tell me, why are you here?''

''My... My mom hurt herself, so she's here. I came to visit her. Ummm, I just realized, you didn't tell me your name yet. Or did you?''

''No, I didn't, actually. I'm Taylor, what about you?''

''Katy.''

Just as I said what my name is, I saw James walk towards the counter. He looked from left to right and then noticed me, sitting in the waiting room.

I quickly got up, and hugged him, just as he was in front of me.

''Hey Katy! Wanna go?'', he asked me, while he motioned me out of the waiting room.

''Yeah, we...'', I suddenly was cut off, by Taylor's voice interrupting me.

''Katy! May I have your number?'', I heard Taylor say, behind me.

I swirrled around and looked at him. He was a few inches taller than me. He was standing 2 foot away, with his phone in his hands. ''Sure!'', I sing--songed flirtatiously.

He handed me his phone, with a new contact open, that said 'Kaydee'. I chortled and corrected it, by writing 'Katy'.

As soon as the contact was saved, I tossed him his phone and smiled.

''My name is spelled K-A-T-Y, by the way.'', I commented, as I was still wearing a happy expression.

He blushed and bit his bottom lip.

''Bye.'', I chanted, right before I whirled around facing the exit.

Author's note: Do you like this chapter? Do you like this story? I don't, in fact, I hate it. I'm sorry, but I really hate writing this. My new story has way better vocabulary, so I feel like this one just sucks. Thanks for reading my story, if you do.
