Chapter 32
Emily’s pov
My fingers were slipping inside of the leather boxing gloves I had strapped around my wrists from the perspiration. My calf muscles were tight from bouncing on my feet and slamming high kicks into the punching bag. I was sure half my hair has fallen out of my originally neatly tied ponytail, and Adam was enjoying shouting commandments as much as Sam was watching us in between whatever he was doing in the warehouse.
Adam apologised for shouting at me in the hospital and being a little too aggressive when it came to defending his friend. I had told him I understood and all was well because it was the truth. I saw how much Adam really cared about Sam, how he has been there to support him longer than I have and more.
‘Em you have to treat the bag like it’s a wedgy in your ass crack, all of the time! Otherwise wedgy thinks he can control the fight and will threaten to go higher up your ass!’, Adam’s use of language was half of what distracted me while throwing punches, the other was Sam glancing over to us occasionally and smiling at me.
I would be an idiot and smile back before actually getting pushed backwards on the shoulders to land painfully on my ass cheeks.
‘What was that for!?’ I complain. ‘Pay attention, focus and wedgy won’t defeat you. You just lost the fight’.
I roll my eyes and get back on my feet. ‘Do you have to keep referring to the bag as a wedgy? It’s kind of disturbing’.
‘Kick higher!’
I grunt in reply and hear Sam laughing in the background. I really was everyone’s laughing stock.

‘Can you please organise a wheelchair for me… I think my legs have left the rest of my body’ I say to the boys as I catch my breath laying on the floor after training for more than an hour, sweating and stinking like a pig and draining my water bottle dry.
Adam laughs and smacks my legs with his towel he had around his shoulders. ‘You’re such a wimp Harris! Next time I’ll make you work ten times as hard, might even make you-‘ Sam interrupts Adam defending, ‘We don’t want to kill her, just train her. Adam go fix yourself a protein shake or something’.
Adam calls Sam a prick before tackling him to the ground in one blow. I shoot up onto my knees and start shouting at them, as well as freeing them apart from each other. ‘Boys stop! Adam stop that! You could hurt him! STOP!’
I fall on top of them as Adam pins Sam on the ground and we’re all breathing hard. My eyes are in exact alignment with Sam’s and Adam ruins the moment saying ‘I think I might make that shake right about now’ while struggling to get out of Sam’s headlock.

Sam’s Pov.
Tuesday night at home Mum was in the kitchen cleaning up and asked me to pick up all of Maddy’s stuffed toys from the ground in the living room. Maddy thought it would be a fantastic idea to drink tea with 95% of her stuffed animals and then go play in Jane’s room.
‘Jane look at me!’ Maddy cries from the sofa, jumping impatiently.
‘I’m still mad at you Mads for going into my room… just get off the couch’ Jane orders.
‘No! But look! You’re not looking!’
‘Yes I am.’
‘No!!!’
