Chapter 22!

Em’s Pov

I run after him up until I get to the front door that just closed. Looking through the small window on the side of the door, Sam has his hands folded on his head and it was bent as he walked. He didn’t look okay…

This makes me even more confused as to why he had to leave so soon.

Glancing quickly over my shoulder I decided to slip through the door after stealing Dan’s keys from the dish. I make sure Sam can’t see me as he starts his car. This wasn’t Sam was it? Was I just getting to know the real him?

I think fast and look around to see one of Dan’s Chicago bulls snapbacks. I quickly take off my jacket, sliding the cap on my head to cover at least some of my face under the cap. I pull back my hair and over my ears under the cap.

I was now tailing my friend.

I knew there was more than one thing wrong with that sentence… He drove further and further out of the town’s center making me wonder.

Glancing at the clock it read 7:55pm, when we had started eating an early dinner at 7:15pm, planning a long night. Dessert wasn’t even served, mum and I had made something especially for tonight. It just wasn’t making sense.

Sam stops in his old black Jeep Wrangler indicating to the right. I had no idea where we were going and started thinking this was a bad idea. As he was turning and the light turned gree letting the car in front continue straight.

I pull over to the curb and feel worried crease her forehead. Sam had just turned into the corner street of a large lighted warehouse in the middle of blackened out streets. What did he have with warehouses like this?

I only hoped Dan’s car wouldn’t be damaged in my absence, because I was going after Sam. Sitting here in the car wouldn’t do anything.

Whatever he was doing it couldn’t be good.

After locking the car doors, keeping the cap on and doing up my black leather jacket, collar up I went in search of him.

The street he turned into had only 1 working street lamp and over piled dumpsters. But what I hadn’t registered yet was all the parked cars. Some covered, which made me look back to the corner. I only prayed I could drive it home. But how could I even if it was fine? Where was I?....

Someone was walking with a familiar gym bag slung over his shoulder knocking in a back door across the street. The door opens and then shut immediately.

I hurry towards it, clear to stay part of the darkness. As I get closer and closer a buzzing noise becomes apparent.

It was coming from where Sam had gone in.
