I went into the living room of Juliet’s house. It was really pretty, well organized, and had great taste. She liked the color blue.

In Juliet’s in – home – office, I heard a printer run.

I sat on the couch. Peaches stumbled out of her guest room. She collapsed on the couch, her head on my lap.

“Where’s your honeybun?” she asked. She groaned and rubbed her temples with her index and middle finger.

“Hangover?” I giggled.

Jacob came out of our guest room and sat next to me. He draped his long arm over my shoulders and put his face in my hair.

“We should give something to Juliet...she’s doing a lot of things for us…she’s even going to buy us things for our house…” I breathed, my heart beating faster. I made sure it was a little above a whisper, Peaches was knocked out.

“We can give her some McChickens…” Jacob tucked some of my hair behind my ear.

I almost started to hyperventilate.

“Don’t be cheap; we have to give her something that she’ll love…”

Juliet stomped out her office, screaming out profanities.

Her face was red with anger.

“What’s wrong?” I asked her.

She glared at me, “You’re the RUN AWAY! You and Jake! YOU LIED TO ME!”

“What?” Jacob asked.

“Ang – Dessie! You’re name’s Dessie! You’re from Kentucky!”

She threw a crumpled paper at me.

Peaches jumped off the couch, she woke up from the yelling. “Juliet, calm down…” she said.

“No!” Juliet paced around the room.

I stared at the picture of Jacob and me. I looked so skinny…so depressed…

“That’s not us!” Jacob snatched the paper away from me and threw it to the ground.

“Just because you dyed your hair, put contacts on, and gain more weight, it doesn’t mean that that’s not you!” she snapped at him.

“That’s us…” I said quietly, “Sorry we lied to you…”

Jacob stared at me in shock and anger.

Juliet calmed down.

“I have to call Lucy…” she said quietly.

“Don’t!” Jacob begged, “I can’t go back there! Dessie can’t go back there! Please! I beg you!”

I started to cry.

“I’m sorry…” she shook her head.

“I can’t go back there!” I snapped.

Peaches sat on the couch and stayed quiet. She made it seem like she was seeing a drama TV show.

“Two reasons! One: Jacob is abused! Two: I’m not loved! I was a loser, no one listen to me! My younger sister can’t even remember my name! I bet Jacob’s mom is partying, because her son is gone! We can’t go back there!”

“Your family misses you! Old Man Jenkins misses you. Blake misses you…” Juliet said.

I cried even more.

Juliet sighed, “I have to tell Lucy…”

Jacob let out a yell of frustration, went into our guest room and slammed the door. I stared at Juliet, guilt was in her eyes.

She put one hand on her face and sighed, “I won’t tell Lucy, yet. You guys have to live in my home. You and Jacob have to sleep in separate rooms. I’m going to make sure you stay without you causing trouble.”

The bedroom door swung opened and Jacob summersaulted out. He got up and gave Juliet a hug. He ran to me and kisses me on the cheek.

Juliet pushed Jacob off of me, “No more PDA! You guys are going to pretend to be brother and sister!”

I took off my engagement ring and gave it to Jacob.

“This will be your Christmas Present then,” he smiled.

I rolled my eyes.
