Blake stared at his mom crying. His aunt was also crying, but he couldn’t cry. He was in shock, he could feel the stinging of his eyes, but no tears fell down.

He watched his great grandmother taken away on her death bed. A white cloth was on her face.

Gabriella gave him a piece of paper.

“I…found…” she said quietly.

As he crumbled the paper a little, he yelled after his great grandma, “Why couldn’t you wait for Dessie?!”

“Read!” Gabriella tugged on his shirt.

He read it and his eyes widened.

In his great grandmother’s tiny handwriting, he read:

Dear Blake,

I know you are probably angry, because I died without seeing Dessie, but you’re wrong! I SAW HER! She’s fine and in love with Jacob. She told me everything (I’m convinced that Jacob’s mother beats him…tell that to the police). Well, goodbye Blake…Dessie misses you…

Your Great Grandma,

Oh Great One

P.S. I could say that she was an angel…

Why would she underline ‘angel’? Blake wondered.

He smiled as tears began to pour. He turned the paper around, there was more…

P.S.S. I told you I wasn’t going to die until I saw Dessie! J

“You were right, Oh Great One…” he laughed.

Peter stared at him in confusion. Blake quickly put the paper in his pocket. His cellphone rang and he picked it up, “Hello?”

“Blake?” a girl’s voice asked.

It sounded like Dessie…

“Dessie?” Blake asked in a hushed voice.

“No, it’s Angel,” the girl said.

Blake was disappointed but still happy to hear Angel’s voice. His back shivered while he thought about that girl. “Hi…” he said casually.

“Are you ready?” she asked.

“Yeah, I’m coming. Are you at your home?”

“Yup.”

“I’ll be there.”

“Okay.”

He couldn’t stop smiling as he ran to Angel’s home. He really liked that girl and was hoping he could tell her that.

He felt like they had a connection somehow…
