Romeo & Juliet

A knock was heard on my door. It was only thirty minutes after the big argument.

Peaches came in wearing an elegant dress and holding one too.

“Romeo’s coming and you’re going to make them fall in love…” she smiled.

I took a bath quickly, put on the dress and put make – up on. Jacob looked HOT in his suit.

“This monkey suit suits me well…” Jacob smiled at me.

I quickly wiped the drool off the corner of my mouth.

We went into Juliet’s nice car and she drove us to a really fancy restaurant. Jacob kept holding my hand but I kept shaking it off.

“Why are you acting like you don’t like me?” he asked me, hurt in his voice.

Juliet was parking her car.

“We have to act like we’re friends…” I responded.

He nodded.

We were escorted to a table and a man was already waiting there. I stared at him, his hair was blonde and he had a bored look on his dark green eyes. He looked just as tall as Jacob.

Juliet went to greet him, Peaches, Jacob and I followed him.

He gleamed at me after shaking my hand.

“Nice to meet you…” I smile.

“It’s my pleasure…” he winked.

Jacob growled softly under his breath.

Juliet went to her seat. So did Peaches. Romeo went to my seat pulled out my chair and smiled. I sat on it and he pushed the chair, with me on it, nearer to the table. He sat next to me before Jacob could take it. Jacob glared at him the whole time.

“What is your name?” he asked me.

“Angel…” I smile.

“Angel…what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl…” he gleamed.

“Thank you…” I mumble.

“You know, I’m single…after this dinner, you can come with me to see the stars and we could get to know each other…” he purred.

“Uh…I’m sorry…I don’t think I can…” I smile wryly.

“Why?” he pouted.

“She doesn’t like you,” I heard Jacob growl.

“Romeo, leave Angel alone,” Juliet growled.

“Getting jealous, aren’t we?” Romeo smiled at her.

Juliet glared at him.

“Romeo, what is your career?” I changed the subject.

“I’m a lawyer.”

“Maybe you should talk about your job to Juliet, because I bet she’s dying to hear about it…” I smile. “Let’s switch spaces…”

Juliet nodded and we switched spaces.

That was a bad idea; they started to argue…

“Guys!” I yelled.

They looked at me.

“Look, have you ever heard of Romeo and Juliet? They loved each other so much! You guys are the complete opposite!” I say.

Romeo flushed.

“Romeo, I know you love Juliet. It’s just that its deep down and you just don’t know that you do…”

He looked at Juliet.

“Juliet…” he said quietly, “Every time I see you, I want to see you mad at least once a day, because you look beautiful…I never wanted to divorce with you…you were the love of my life…”

Juliet’s eyes softened.

“Juliet…can you give me a second chance to be your Romeo again?”

She started to tear up. “I want to be your Juliet again…”

“What the…” Peaches whispered, “You two were just arguing…”

Both of them burst out laughing.

“As if I would love her!” Romeo laughed.

“As if I would love him!” Juliet laughed too.

“Come on! Romeo and Juliet loved each other! You two deserve each other!” I complained.

People around us stared at us.

“As if,” Romeo said.

Juliet stayed quiet.

“Juliet, I heard you crying in your office yesterday. You were saying Romeo’s name…” Peaches told her.

Juliet blushed.

“You did?” Romeo asked her.

She nodded.

“Well, my last girlfriend broke up with me, because I called her Juliet too many times…” Romeo confessed.

“Juliet called me Romeo a couple of times…” Jacob said.

“It was by accident!” Juliet growled.

“You two are dating?” Romeo asked.

“No!” Juliet said quickly.

Romeo smiled softly at her, it was a real smile. Juliet smiled at him too.

“There’s my smile…” Romeo whispered.

“I hid it away for a long time…” she batted her eyes at him.

She was flirting with him!

“Can we start all over?” Romeo asked.

“Sure…” Juliet said.

Romeo held out his hand to her, “Hi, my name is Romeo…”

She shook it, “My name is Juliet…”

They both dropped their hands and kissed.

“That’s how they met?” Peaches asked.

“I guess…” Jacob whispered to her.

“I’m never going to find a boyfriend…” Peaches sighed.

“You seemed pretty interested in Blake…” I told her.

“Well, he seems too good for me…” she blushed.

I laughed and Juliet and Romeo got up, hand in hand.

Juliet turned to me, “I’m going with Romeo…Jake, drive them home…” she tossed the keys to Jacob and walked with Romeo.

“We didn’t even eat…” Peaches mumbled.

Romeo went up to me and handed me a lot of cash. “Thanks,” he smiled.

“What is this for?” I asked.

“The food’s on me.”

“Thank you…” I smile.

He walks away with Juliet, holding her hand.

After eating at the restaurant, Jacob drove Peaches and I to Juliet’s home.

“Hurry up and change,” he told me.

I didn’t argue, I changed into regular clothing. When I went up to Jacob and Peaches, they changed too.

“Where are we going?” I asked.

“It’s seven pm, I’m taking you to see you great grandma…” he tossed me a long light brown wig. I put it on and hugged him.

“THANK YOU!” I cried.

I went to the bathroom and took off my contacts.

Jacob drove me to the hospital.
