Jacob and Juliet were sleeping. I decided to bring Peaches with me, because I really wanted Blake to get to know her; she’s very nice and beautiful. I paced around in my black blouse and dark jeans.

Peaches wore skinny jeans with a blue blouse. She put eyeliner on and eye shadow. She made her natural blonde curls straight and she braided it to the side. She wore a white jacket over her blouse that was not zipped up.

She was so pretty, I’m certain that Blake will fall for her, because I just wore my black jacket and had some lip gloss on.

I jumped when there was a knock on the door. I opened it and Blake was huffing and puffing. His clothing was drenched with sweat. He gathered himself and smiled at me.

“Were you running a marathon?” I teased.

I looked back at Peaches; she was mesmerized by my sweaty brother.

“I was at the hospital…” he said behind me.

I turned back to him still with a smile, “How’s your great grandma?”

“She…passed…away…” he struggled with the words and gulped.

I came outside and Peaches followed me. I closed the door. I stared at the floor and put my heads to my mouth. I started to cry silently.

“Angel, don’t cry…” he reached out to me, but I wiped away my tears and forced out a tight smile.

“I’m fine, did she write anything?” I asked. I remembered her asking me for a pen and paper.

“Yeah,” he told me. He reached into his pocket and gave me a piece of paper.

I read the front and back and tear up again, “She seems stubborn…”

“The doctors said that she died smiling…”

I wiped my eyes.

“Why are you crying for someone you don’t know?” he asked. “Not to be rude…” he added.

“She reminds me of someone I once knew…” I respond.

“Who?”

“Nobody you know…” I turned to Peaches.

She was staring at Blake. I cleared my throat and she jumped; she blushed.

“Well, Blake, I would like to introduce you to Peaches, she’s my friend. You don’t mind that she’s going to hang out with us? Or do you?” I asked.

“Oh, no I don’t mind,” he smiled and shook Peaches’ hand, “Nice to meet you Peaches…”

She looked like she was about to throw up.

“Hi…” she coughed out.

“Who wants hot chocolate?” I asked.

“I do!” Peaches smiled, her cheeks still blushing.

We ordered our hot chocolate and walked around. I smiled at the warmness. It wasn’t too cold outside, but it was cold enough to make you shiver. Still, these New Yorkers crowded the sidewalks and streets.

“I feel so warm inside!” I laughed.

Peaches and Blake agreed with me.

“What’s your favorite sport?” I asked Blake, even though I knew the answer.

“Football…” Blake smiled.

“Me too!” I laugh, “My favorite team is…”

“The Jets?”

“Yeah!” I lied. “Hey, do you want to throw the football around, or is it too cold?” I asked Peaches and Blake as I changed the subject.

“Yes, but what football?” Peaches asked.

Luckily, I had some money with me so I walked into a store and walked back out with a football a couple minutes later.

“This one,” I tossed it to her.

I gleamed at them and we gurgled down our hot chocolate. My tongue burned but I didn’t care.

At the park, there were a couple of guys hanging around there. The grassy park was pretty big, almost as big as a football field, maybe just as big, or bigger…

Peaches, Blake and I tossed the football around.

“Hey, mind if we play a game?” the tallest of the seven asked.

I stared at his dark green eyes; his long black hair was in a ponytail exposing all of his tattoos on his neck, he wore no coat and his black T – shirt hugged his rippling muscles.

“Sure,” I smile.

“The name’s Mack,” he said.

“Okay Mack, you want to be on my team?” I asked.

“Sure,” he said.

The guys spilt up so it would be five on five.

“Mack, you’re quarter back,” I told him.

We went to our positions and I yelled, “Hike!” I tossed the ball back.

I ran down the field to where I was supposed to be and turned around, the football landed in my arms. I twirled back around and ran farther down the field. I was about to go to the touchdown until Blake tackled me. He was on top of me, his face only inches from mine.

I blushed, put the football on his face and pushed him away.

“Angel!” I heard someone call.

I got up, dusted myself off and saw Jacob stomping to me.

“Jake?” I stared at him.

His blonde hair was messed up and his jacket was unzipped. The wind blew it back. Peaches ran to my side and Blake got up.

“Are you an idiot?!” Jacob growled at me. I flinched, he never called me that. “You remember what Juliet said?!”

“Hey, calm down…” Mack told Jacob.

“Shut up!” Jacob growled at him.

“We were just playing a small game of football…” Blake said.

“Stay out of this,” I told Blake.

Jacob went up to Blake and growled, “Small game? This is like a date for you! You just want to make – out with my girlfriend!”

Blake’s face went pale.

“I – I didn’t know…” Blake said.

“Now you do, so go away. I never want to see your face near Angel again…” he turned to me. “Let’s go.”

I had my head down.

“I’m sorry Blake…” I said.

I grabbed Peaches’ arm and we followed Jacob.

Jacob slammed the door to Juliet’s house. I jumped and stared at Juliet. She had her arms crossed and was shooting daggers at me with her eyes. I looked down sadly.

“What the HELL is wrong with you?!” she screamed. I flinched.

I stayed quiet and Peaches squeezed my hand.

“Are you stupid?!” she screamed.

“No! I’m not stupid!” I snapped, “I had enough with being called stupid and disrespectful words!” tears ran down my eyes, but I wasn’t sad, I was angry. “I grew up being called stupid, ugly, an idiot, a whore, and many other things! I HAD ENOUGH!” I hauled Peaches to my room and slammed the door.
