San Francisco…

Within the slaughtered bunker in San Francisco, Chloris Vardalos stood before a mass of writhing red slime coalescing with tendrils forming from its liquid body, long arms, and a maw that grinned impossibly wide.

"Ah, more heads to bite off and fuel the tank. Hehehe. Lovely,” the creature who proclaimed himself as the Jelly princess of Terror giggled sadistically as he gracefully descended from the wall he was on and landed before Chloris with an ominous presence.

"You killed a lot of people here," Chloris spat angrily.

"And I shall continue to do so, relishing every moment! HAHAHA!!" The psychopathic creature erupted into maniacal laughter as his tendrils unfurled menacingly from his back, each barbed tip sharpened to a deadly point. "Once I deal with you both, there will be more CARNAGE!!"

Chloris’ eyes narrowed calmly. “I don't like to further the conversation but I wondered… I sense your mana is imperfect, as if you are not supposed to be what you are. How so?”

The slime monster tilted his head. “You want to know? Haha, very well!”

Scratching the walls with his razor-sharp claws, he explained. “I was once a human named Cletus. I was a soldier, and a prisoner of war who is being experimented on the North American biolabs with the flesh and DNA of strange monsters that have been ravaging our world for years.”

Clenching his fist in anger, he punched through the concrete wall which shattered upon impact.

“They experimented with me for so long until my body no longer obeyed physics,” he hissed. “You had no idea how many bioweapons the North American Empire had created in this new era, and others like me no doubt had escaped and scattered throughout the nation thanks to this world merging event! Haha!

He pointed a blade-like arm at Chloris.

“But now that I brought a feast of death to these streets, you'll be my dessert!”

Chloris didn’t respond as she took her battle stances, preparing for the impending clash.

With a wicked grin, Cletus inhaled and let out a thunderous roar that echoed through the air.

"RAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRR!!!"

He immediately leapt towards Chloris, but her vine tendrils lashed out like whips and snagged the red slime in a vice and compressed him with crushing force.

"Huh? What gives?!?" The Jelly Prince bellowed in frustration.

Chloris smirked, "This."

She dug roots into the concrete, manipulating nature itself to wrap him in the crushed remains of nature’s wrath.

A loud splurch! erupted as the Jelly Prince exploded in gore.

Only to reform a second later.

Well… that was easy,’ She thought but frowned. ‘Nevermind, this isn't over.’

True to her thoughts, the scattered red slime pieces suddenly merged back together, restoring the Jelly Prince back to his original shape and form.

His sick laughter echoed again. "HAHAHA!! Not even close!"

He rushed her with his slime arms swinging like butcher knives, but Chloris’s precognition gave her the edge and moved before he did, evading each strike while retaliating with a flurry of vine lashes.
