Summary: Apophis, also known as Apep, is a primordial Chaos entity and the physical embodiment of darkness and cosmic entropy. It existed long before the current universe and manifests as a colossal serpent capable of devouring souls, corrupting reality, and collapsing entire ecosystems through its presence alone. Unlike ordinary magical creatures, Apophis is a Chaos Primordial whose existence infects reality like a supernatural disease, destroying magical environments and resisting many forms of supernatural manipulation such as time-based abilities and divine magic.
When awakened during the World Collision Event, Apophis initially manifested in a weakened state before gradually regaining its power through devouring powerful entities and absorbing magical energy. Its power escalated rapidly after consuming powerful beings such as Serena's power and the King of Leviathans, eventually reaching a catastrophic energy output of tens of millions of Magical Energy Units.
At its peak manifestation during the Night Phase, Apophis reached a magical density of 36,000,000 MEU, making it one of the most powerful beings ever recorded in the Second Civilization Zone. Its rampage caused massive earthquakes, magical storms, and widespread devastation across the North America Empire. Ultimately, a massive multinational operation known as Operation Pied Piper lured the Chaos God into a geological trap within the San Andreas Fault before subjecting it to overwhelming artillery bombardment, napalm, white phosphorus, and ritual purification substances that severed its connection to the world.
Even then, destroying the Chaos God required enormous sacrifices, including thousands of nuclear detonations and the destruction of California.
