" That's a nasty bruise you got there. "
The nurse said as she wheeled Kydd into the CT room for a C.A.T scan.
" Yea.."
" Okay before we get started I'm going to have to ask you to remove all your jewelry."

REMOVE ALL OF IT?!
Was she out of her mind??
It had been less than one hour since, Cobain had put his chain around her neck. She hadn't even had a chance to enjoy the feeling of having it there, and now she wanted Her to remove it?
" Don't worry you'll get it back. "

As she layed back and the machine made it's loud noises. She tried to focus on the events that had unfolded only hours before. Had he really pulled her into a closet and kissed her until he left a mark on her neck? Did he really take his chain off his own neck and put it on her, just in case she got scared?
She only get scared if he left her, not scared of a silly machine.

" Dear, We have to ask this question but is there any chance you could be pregnant? "
Kydd stared at the X-ray technician with wide eyes.

Okay first of all she's had a boy less than 24 hours. So unless you can get pregnant by French kissing in a storage closet so wasn't pregnant.
Second, she had one slice of pizza at lunch. And her period was close. So maybe she looked a bit bloated? But pregnant??
To get pregnant you have to sex!! She was still a virgin! Well so was Mary, when she had Jesus. But that's an entirely different story. So unless God had picked Kydd to be the next carrier of the Messiah on his 2nd coming to earth no way she was pregnant.
" No sir, no chance. "

As she sat in the room with her parents waiting for the results of the test they ran. She gazed around the room. She felt like such a child. The room had sheeps on the wall as well as some stars and moon. With writing saying the twinkle twinkle little star poem.
She knew she was sixteen, but seriously? Her hospital gown was pink and had ice cream cones on it.
Her mother was reading a magazine. And her dad was on his phone and she could could hear the theme of Grumpy Dinosaurs.
She rolled her eyes and layed down. Just as she was about to get comfortable, the doctor walked in.
She knew this doctor since she was 6 years old. When she thought she could fly and broke her arm jumping from a tree.

He shook her parents hands before talking about the results.
" Well I got some good news and bad news."
He turned to Kydd.
" It's no-sport-its."
The whole room laughed.
He always made jokes.
" Doctor what does it mean? "
Kydd asked in her best professional voice.
" It means you should stay off the field and not handle flying objects. Baseballs, softballs, or footballs. Basketball is okay just duck if its coming to fast towards you. "
Her parents laughed so did Kydd.
" No, but in all seriousness you're fine kid. You're a tough little girl. I'm going to give you a prescription for Tylenol. And a note to return to school Monday. In the meantime no sports, get some rest. "

After filling her prescription and grabbing dinner. They made their way home.
All her brothers were in the living room.
" What?! What happened? "
Giovanni asked as he set his phone down. The rest did the same. As her mother explained to the guys and talked a bit about dinner. As well as the rest of the afternoon.
" Oh, that's why those flowers and bears came. "
A puzzle looked formed on Kydd's face.
" Flowers and a bear? "
" Yeah it's on the kitchen table, "
Jon said as he pointed to the kitchen. Kydd walked quickly to the table.
She couldn't believe her eyes. She put her hand to the chain around her neck. No she thought did he send them?
She grabbed the card on the flowers.

She held the car close to her chest for a bit.
She picked up the soft brown teddy bear.
" Daddy, can you help me take these up to my room? "

As she layed in bed staring at the beautiful white roses that had been dipped in purple. And cuddling the Teddy bear she named Kurt Cobain. She couldn't help but think she had the most amazing boyfriend ever!

She couldn't wait to text him tomorrow. She wanted to but her mom said that she needed " Rest"
How could she sleep? She was in pure Nirvana. But she didn't fight it. She closed Her eyes and drifted off to sleep..
