A Baby For Kydd

It was Friday night and Cobain and Kydd sat in his car.
It had been five days since she was told by Rumour about the conversation she had with Taylor. And week had been torture for her. Taylor kept her distance and she had to pretend everything was okay in her relationship.
I mean technically everything was okay. But that question still remained unanswered.
Did Cobain really hit Taylor?
And if he did, that means he lied to her. And like her father says if you can lie about something. you can, can lie about anything..
She bit her lip. If she didn't ask it would forever bother her. But if she did ask and it turned out to be false. He might be hurt by the fact Kydd didn't trust him. And if it was true what would she do? Do you just break up with someone over that? Or do they work it out? What do they work out tho?!
It was driving her insane.

" Kydd, can I talk to you about something? "
She wasn't expecting him to talk.
" Sure..we can talk about anything.."
He turned to face Her.
" You're friends with Rumour, and she's friends with my ex."
This was true. But lately Rumour has been acting weird towards Kydd.
But she nodded slowly.
" And I'm sure you've heard some stories about me. "
About their past relationships? About his reputation? And the possibility he hit Taylor? Yes. She's heard.
She nodded.
" Girls talk, but sometimes they don't tell the truth about what really happened. "
Kydd always told the truth. Why lie? I mean sure she told white lies. A pair of pants didn't make someone look fat. Or she likes someone's cooking. She nodded again.
" Well I think it's time I tell you my side. "
He ran his hands threw his hair and breathed out loud. Mumbled to him self than said " She was my 2nd girlfriend okay? Did I love her? No. Was I with her? Yeah.. Did I cheat? No. Did I sleep with her? Yeah.. But afterwards she changed. She just started using me. She painted me to be the bad guy. So when I couldn't take it anymore I broke up with her. And she turned everyone against me. My family and friends. Told everyone I was a drug addict and I was an over all bad guy. "
She studied his face.
He hit the steering wheel before tearing up a bit.
" I'm not that guy, I promise I'm not Kydd. And now she's convinced everyone that I hit her for hurting you."
Kydd touched his hand.
" Not everyone."
She wrapped her arms around his waist and squeezed him tight.
" I love you Cobain."
He kissed her lips and pulled her close.

Thanksgiving break was approaching it had been almost a week and a half since the day they had a long talk about Taylor and the truth.
They already told each other about their holiday plans she was going out of town, well back to Texas for thanksgiving.
He pulled her close. " I'm going to miss you Kydd. "
She ran her hands threw his hair. " I will definitely miss you more. "
She couldn't wait to see her old friends Mia and Dylan. And show them the many pictures on her phone of her and Cobain together.
" Promise you will hurry and come back? "
She kissed his lips softly " I promise."

That night as she layed in bed she bit her lip. She was going to leave him for two weeks. Two whole weeks without seeing each other. They haven't been apart that long ever. She didn't know if she could do it. But on the other hand it would be good to see if their relationship could handle it..

As her family bored the plane she sent him one last picture message before having to turn off her phone

-- I'll miss you, I love you! Don't forget about me.

-- Baby girl! :*
I wouldn't dream of forgetting about you. I love you too!

Texas seemed so far away from Cobain. Once the plane landed, she was ready to turn back around and go home.
" Kydd!!!!! "
Her friends Mia and Dylan greeted Her. " OMG! You look so different, what's different?? "
Mia asked. " Less fat? " Dylan teased. " No it's something else." Kydd nodded and smiled.
" Tell us!!! " Mia and Dylan screamed in unison. The three of them sat down and she spilled. They screamed as they heard the news. She told them everything. Showed them the necklace. Showed them the pictures of her Knight in shining armor. And the three best friends laughed and hugged. Sharing stories of how live had changed for each of them. The good and the bad. It felt so wonderful to be back with her old friends.
Friends like these couldn't never be replaced..
