7. Forever?

With each passing day, Kydd's due date got closer.
Cobain and Kydd sat in the library.
" Baby girl, what are your plans for the weekend? "
Kydd rubbed her belly as she answered.
" Oh, you know wild parties.."
He squeezed her sides.
And kissed her head.
" Okay, jokester. Well if you can get away from your many parties. Will you go out with me tomorrow? "
Kydd thought for a second..
"...hmmm, I'll have to check my schedule."
He pulled her close kissing her neck.

They drove and he squeezed her hand tight.
She tried to mentally guess where they were going.
She was just about to give up when she saw a familiar sign.

COLD JERRY'S.

It's where he took her on their first date. Where they shared their first kiss.

He opens her door " My lady.."
He took her hand and helped her out.
He kissed her hand.
And they walked into the ice cream shop.

They took a table.
They would have took a booth. But booths had been Kydd's newest enemy.

She ate her ice cream. Cobain smiled " Good?. "
He rubbed her belly.
" Yes! "
He pulled his hand away slowly.
" Kydd,.."
He was nervous.
She knew that look. She remembered when he was nervous when he gave her the heart necklace.
She put her hand on his arm.
He took a deep breath.
He pulled out his phone.

" I think he can say it better. "
He? Kydd wondered who was the he, Cobain was talking about.

He messed around with his phone a bit. It rang.
He turned the screen towards her.

" Hey, Kydd-O! "
There on the screen was her father.
" Daddy!? "
Kydd began to wipe away the tears. She hadn't seen Her father in so long.
" Hey baby girl, I don't have much time. But listen you got a good man there..."
Cobain handed the phone to Kydd.
" And that's one lucky baby. So just say yes okay? "
Just say yes?
Kydd looked at Cobain.
He was on his knee with a box in his hand.
It was open and a beautiful diamond ring was there.
" Will you marry me."

Kydd felt a small kick.
" Me too Bean."
Cobain looked at her.

" I do! "
He slid the ring on her finger and kissed her.
He pulled away looked down at the phone " Thanks Mr. Garcia."
After a bunch of I love you's and a few tears her dad hung up.

" You planned this all by yourself? "
Cobain smiled " I had some help. "
Kydd looked down at the beautiful ring.
" I wish my mom was here.. "
Cobain laughed a bit.
" Isn't she? "
Just then her mom and three brothers walked over.
They all hugged.

Had all of them know??
She laughed and they all sat down and enjoyed the moment.

" Please tell me your weekend was better than mine. "
Gigi said as they took their seats.
" Maybe, what was wrong with your weekend? "
Kydd said after a few seconds.
" Bailey had an ear infection and kept me up."
Kydd wondered if she should even show her the ring.
" I'm sorry, how is my adopted baby girl now? "
Gigi laughed " Bad, as heck! She put peanut butter in my bra. "
The two girls laughed.
" So?? How was your weekend?? "
Kydd held up her hand.
" Dos mios! How beautiful!! OhMyGawd! "
Gigi stared at the ring before hugging Kydd tight.

" I told, Cobain all the stuff I needed for my baby girl. And he said he would try but that Kydd could be a little selfish. "
Taylor said as she walked in.
" I think he's going to dump Her I think he's getting sick of her. Maybe then we can be a family."
She stopped talking when she got close to Kydd and Gigi.
" Kydd, Good morning. Gigi? Right..well anyways Good morning."
Before Kydd could say anything Gigi stepped up " Why do you lie Taylor? "
Taylor's mouth dropped dramatically. " Meh lie?.. And what I be lying about Gi-Gi? "
Gigi rolled her eyes.
" You know darn well that Cobain loves Kydd. "
Taylor scoffed " He's so bored with her he's waiting for a chance to run. "
Gigi looked at Taylor with disgust " And when did he tell you all this? "
Before Taylor could answer a girl named Amber said " On Saturday, they spent the entire day shopping for her baby girl."
Gigi laughed out loud.
" Are you sure it was Cobain? And not just his imaginary twin? "
Taylor sucked her teeth.
" It was Cobain."
Gigi rolled her eyes and looked back at Kydd. Mouthed the words wow.
" Tell me something Taylor. Was this before or after he proposed to Kydd? Maybe it was after dinner?? "
Taylor's smile faded.
" He didn't propose to her. "
Gigi lifted Kydd's hand.
" Wanna bet? "
Taylor gasped. Her eyes filled with tears and she pushed people aside and ran off..
