Chapter 8

"Welcome to Wizwards! It's not Hogwarts, but I know you'll love it," mum explained. "This is where you'll be living the next year. You're lucky I'm a teleporter, or else we'd have to go all the way to the portal in Brazil!"

"There's a portal?" John burst out. "How original!"

"Well, not all wizards can teleport through the dementions. Anyway, the portal leads to the woods outside Wizwards, where there's also a portal back to earth."

"Wait, hold on. So what you're saying... Is that... We're not on earth?"

"Yeah, we're in another demention! The only way to get here is by teleporting, which is impossible for humans. They cannot see the portal, and it's almost as if the demention isn't there. That's why it's undiscovered."

I spent some time to let the information sink in. However, it was all a rush. The whole wizard thing seemed way too... Supernatural. It could all just be a crazy dream.

"Susannah! It's great to see you!" we heard, and a woman came up to mum and hugged her. "So, this is the twins?"

Me and John looked at each other and raised our eyebrows. What a weird question, I mean, WE'RE IDENTICAL!

"Yeah, this is John," mum said and laid her hand on my shoulder. "And this is Edward." then the other hand on John's shoulder.

"Mum... HE'S John, and I'M Edward," I said.

"Oh- ... I'm sorry, boys. I always mix the three of you - even with Kevin. Well anyway, this is Ms. Harrison, the principle of the school."

"Hello, boys," said Ms. Harrison. "Let me show you the boys' rooms." She seemed like a very positive person... Or should I say... a very positive WIZARD!

I turned around. Mum was gone. We were left on this wizard school called Wizwards.

"So, this year there's 24 wizards at the school. 14 boys and 10 girls. Rooms will be shared in a group of four or five."

She opened a door, and we entered a room with four beds. Two boys were in the room.

The first boy had black hair, which was pulled up in a small quiff. His eyes were brown, and his skin was tan. He had loads of wristbands around his wrists.

The second boy had brown hair and grey eyes, and he wore necklaces and a cap. He also wore a way too big hoodie, and well... It looked like he was in need for a belt.

"This is your roomates for the year," said Ms. Harrison. "This is Josh, from London, and Ross, from Scotland."

"Woah, I think I see double!" said Ross, the grey-eyed boy from Scotland. He had, of course, a scottish accent.

"You don't, okay, we're twins," I commented proud.

"Okay, I think that's all the information you need," Ms. Harrison finished. "It's getting late, so I'd recommand you to go to sleep. The first class is tomorrow at 10 am. Pack out, feel like home, and may you have a good time here at Wizwards."

That night, I dreamt about John. He was lying in his bed, facing the wall. There was barely any blond locks left on his head. They were all black.

"John?" I said carefully as I laid my hand on his shoulder.

He rolled over on his back, slowly. I startled a bit as he opened his eyes and stared at me. They didn't look anything like his eyes. There wasn't any green in them. If I looked closer, I could even see a little bit of red in them.

"What?" John responded.

My eyes shot open. I stared straight out in a bright room. Ross and Josh were up from their beds, but John wasn't there.

"Where's John?" I asked as I stepped out of my bed.

"I don't know," Ross shrugged. "But you should hurry up 'cause class is startin' now."

I checked the time. 9:56 AM. Maybe John had already left?

I pulled on a pair of black skinny jeans and a shirt, then went along with Josh and Ross to class. It was weird to walk with someone else than John, though.

However, our roomates seemed to be nothing like the boys on our school back home. I already felt comfortable with them as our roomates. We didn't know each other yet, but at least they weren't mean or rude to us.

I was so excited! Normally school was boring, but Wizwards wasn't normal. Normal was boring and magic was fun - simple as that.

I couldn't wait to learn new magic. All I could do was creating energy balls. I wanted to do something else, like control items with my mind or cast a spell or something.

I regonised the room we were in. The teacher, the targets, the chatting students... I dreamt this! This room was the room from the dream where I met Leah!

John was nowhere to be seen... But if he wasn't here, and not in our room, then where was he?

"Okay, listen up everyone!" the teacher said, and everyone turned quiet. "Since this is your very first class, we're gonna start off with the basic magic, which is energy. Use your imagination to make an energy ball."

I looked down at my hands as I slowly pulled them away from each other. I felt like a professional where I stood, knowing exactly how to do it. I'd never get tired of doing magic. I loved it!

I looked around as the other students got ready with their energy balls. Some struggled more than others.

"Good, now throw it at the target."

"What!" the students burst out.

I already knew I'd miss the target, but I threw the ball anyway.

Even though I saw it coming, I fell backwards, and just as expected, I fell over a girl. Let's guess her name, shall we? LEAH!

She smiled and laughed at me.

"Sorry," I said and smiled embarrassed.

"Oh, that's okay.. I can't hit the target either.." she smiled and helped me up from the floor. "I'm Leah!"

"I know that already!". She raised her eyebrows at me.

"Really? How?"

"Well, I'm a future dreamer and I've had some dreams about you... I'm Edward!"

"Awe, I wonder what I am..."

"You're Leah!". She laughed for a short moment.

"And you're funny!" I knew I regonised that smile from somewhere. It looked like she was happy to- ... Oh wait... I dreamt that too... It was my very first dream.

"I meant like my personal ability," she said. It was just then it hit me.

I remembered the vision I had. Leah bending over John, and holding her hands over his marks...

"Leah!" I burst out. "I know it! You're a healer! You're gonna heal my twin!"
