Chapter 7

I looked into a pair of green-grey eyes. It was the same eyes that I'd seen loads of times now, In dream and real life. It was the eyes from the woods earlier. These eyes belonged to Lis.

I still didn't get it. Sometimes they're a mix of grey and green, and other times they're red.

She were a shape shifter, though. She could probably change her eyecolour whenever she wanted.

She had her arms around my neck, and I had mine around her waist. She smiled at me, and I stared into her eyes.

Then suddenly, I couldn't help it. I carefully leaned forward, and our lips met. I couldn't even control myself. It was almost like watching a movie, just that I was in it, and it was going to happen.

I couldn't believe it. I was going to kiss Lis.

I found myself returning to reality, and settled up in my bed. It felt so real. I could still feel the ghost of her lips.

All of a sudden, John bent over me, with an excited smile. It startled me.

"Goodmornin' Ed'ard!" he said. He was wearing his only jumper, and pulled his sleeves all the way to his fingertips to cover up the marks from last night.

"John, you scared me," I laughed back at him.

He smiled, then went over to the door. He grabbed the handle and opened.

"Where are you going?" I asked, and he stopped to look at me.

"I've got plans with Lis."

"Can I join?". To be honest, it didn't look like he wanted me there. What if he had a crush on Lis, and didn't me to ruin anything? That was the only explaination I could think of.

"I don't know, you can ask Lis when she arrives.". Suddenly we heard the doorbell. Wow, what a timing! "And that must be her!"

He ran downstairs like a little kid, and I was left to get dressed.

I got dressed on record time. I was wearing the same outfit that John wore, which was a pair of black skinny jeans and a jumper.

Then I ran downstairs to see Lis and John talking. Lis' face lit up as she saw me.

"Edward!" she smiled.

"Hi, where are you going?"

"Just out, I guess..."

"Can I join?"

"Well... Erm, sure, why not?"

I pulled my shoes on, and we left the house together. Not a word was said. Lis whispered something in John's ear, but that was it.

I still thought there was something between them. They seemed so in love!

I felt my heart drop. That's right, I was going to kiss her.

I had to admit, sometimes I tried to convince myself it wasn't just a dream.

All of a sudden, I felt a sharp pain in my head, and everything faded. I could barely feel the ground under me.

I could see Leah. She was bending over John, and held her hands over his marks.

What was going on? I mean, I was awake! I only saw this stuff in my sleep!

John looked at Leah unsure, then Leah turned to me.

"Are you sure about this?" she said.

I looked up at two worried and confused faces. It was John and Lis. I found myself lying on the ground. Was I back?

"Oh my god, what happened?" John said as I rose from the ground.

"I don't know, it was crazy! Like some kind of vision or something!"

"Vision? But you're a future dreamer, and you're not sleeping!". He looked around, and shot a glance at a store across the road. "I'll go get you some water."

As John went to get me some water, I found myself wanting to shout 'don't leave me'.

So, I was alone with Lis now, and I had to admit, I was kind of scared of her right now.

"I'm sorry for last night," she said. I wasn't quite sure what to say to her. I didn't know her too well after all. "You know, whenever I'm around you, I feel different somehow."

"Different? How?"

"Well... Better."

I smiled for myself, then, without thinking about it, I hugged her.

"You're all forgiven, okay," I smiled.

She smiled too, and that was when I realised what I was doing. There we stood, she had her hands around my neck, and I had mine around her waist as I stared into her green-grey eyes.

This couldn't be it, could it? It's too early.

I felt the pressure from the dream. This was supposed to happen after all. I wasn't even sure what my feelings said anymore. I could only feel this warm blood running through my body. It was almost as if I got lost in her.

"Hey Edward!" I heard. I could regonise that voice anywhere. It was John. I quickly pulled away from Lis. "Here's your water." He handed me a bottle of water.

"Thanks," I smiled as I started drinking from the bottle.

What the hell just happened. I didn't kiss her! I wasn't quiete sure what I felt as I thought of it. I just lost a huge chance, and I might never get another one. Oh my god, Edward, why didn't you do it?!

Time passed quickly, and the day didn't last forever. It was about 7:30 pm when we got back home.

Mum was in the living room. She was putting our stuff in two big bags as she noticed us.

"There you are," she said. "Are you ready to leave?". John shut the door behind him.

"Where are we going?" he asked her.

"Well, grab a bag and I'll take you there right away."

I grabbed the bag that had my name on it, and had a quick look. Mum had packed everything. Socks, phone charger, skinny jeans... Yeah, everything!

As John stood with his bag in his arms, mum grabbed our shoulders. Me and John looked confused at each other, then suddenly, something happened.

The room was changing. The walls, the stairs, the doors, the whole room faded away. Actually, the only thing that didn't fade away, was us.

It was almost as if there was another room behind the walls. We ended up standing in a huge room, that I'd never seen before.

"Mum?" I said as I looked around. "Where are we?"
