the battle rages on.

explosions of light and sound fill the air as heroes and villains collide.

i'm fighting for my life here, im fighting for everyone's.

midoryia is locked in combat with shigaraki. the two of them moving at blinding speeds. deku's fists crackle with energy, and each hit he lands sends shockwaves through the air. shigaraki's cracked hands scrape against the ground as he tries to extend his reach, desperate to catch deku with his quirk any way he can.

in front of me stands thanos, while all for one circles me like a vulture. both of them eager to get their hands on my power.

an unexpected explosion rocks the ground and said me tumbling. my spidey-sense gives me a blur of warnings as i flip out of the way of falling debris. i look up to see thanos finally moving, his massive figure walks into the fray. thanos stands before me and i prepare for the blow.

only for it to never come. i open my eyes which were tightly shut and see a shield of red feathers protecting me from the titan's fist. i turn and see hawks standing next to me protectively.

"leave my kid alone." he threatens.

thanos lets out a scary chuckle, "your kid? that's exactly what stark said when we fought months ago. and do you know how that fight ended?"

i unwillingly have another flash back to that day. the last day i saw mr. stark, the last day i was in my home universe. i can't let this fight end like how it did before.

i refuse to lose.

the stones within me urge me to act fast. i close my eyes and tap into the very essence of both the time and the soul stone. they hum beneath my skin. i focus, steady my breath, heart pounding. i've practiced before, but never like this. for the first time, i begin to understand the stones. i allow them to merge with my own consciousness.

i feel the cosmic power surge through my veins. i open my eyes and they are radiating green and orange.

"this won't be like last time." my voice steady

a blast of energy surges from my body. the force pushes thanos back, truly staggering him. the alien soldiers around me falter, giving the heroes an advantage.

sensing the sudden shift, all for one lunges toward me, but i anticipate him. with the flick of my wrist i use the time stone to freeze him in place, trapping all for one in a bubble of suspended time.

"you will never rule over any world. you will never get these stones again."

thanos narrows his eyes at me and raises his gauntlet, preparing to strike. but i push back harder. a concentrated burst of energy from both stones cracks through the air.

in that instant, i take control.

the stones inside me respond to my will, the powers aligning. time slows, an chitauri tries to land a hit on me, but i allow myself to glitch through them.

while using the time stone to slow time for all but me, i rush forward and swipe the other infinity stones from the gauntlet. thanos attempts to stop me, but i'm much too fast for him. i flip over his shoulder and allow time to resume.

i quickly insert each stone into my suit and i feel the cosmic power of each infinity stone. their immense power burns my veins. every stone suddenly aligns, and i let out a guttural scream.

"do you know the kind of power you now have, parker? you could rule planets, universes even." thanos tries to reason

but i know what i need to do.

"i know that better than anyone. with great power, comes great responsibility."

i raise my hand to the sky, and a thunderous snap of my fingers resound through the chaos.

a violent, blinding light takes over everything.

the universe seems to hold its breath.

thanos freezes in place. the entire battlefield goes silent.

for a brief moment, nothing moves.

then, with an explosive rush of energy, thanos and his army disintegrate, reduced to nothing but ashes. i wonder if any of them felt the amount of pain that i did.

the portal behind me collapses, closing as suddenly as it opened.

silence.

i drop to my knees, my body overwhelmed with the power that just consumed me. the stones pulse once more before going still.

it's over.

hawks, aizawa, and my classmates gather around me. the other pro heroes start gathering the league of villains.

my eyes are blurry with exhaustion.

hawks is the first to speak, "k-kid...you did it. we won, pete. you—" his voice catches in his throat.

i smile weakly, closing my eyes
"yeah... i did."

aizawa places a hand on my shoulder, "you can rest now, peter."
