Zombies : The Dead That Walk

Chapter 8 - Preparation

After that attack the group started acting more serious and focusing more because I don't think they want to be dead meat lying lifeless on the floor open for zombies to eat. The drive home was good and we had no major problems,this was the car we had to rely on.Their was a knock on the bedroom door. "Come in" I said. The door opened and in stepped melissa. "Hey" I said. "Hey" she smiles and curls her hair around her thumb repeatedly."Come sit down" I invite her to sit next to me and she doesn't hesitate. "So what are your plans because matt says he's leaving for an island" she speaks with a soothing tone in her voice. "I think I might go to do you want to come with us" I ask. "Yeah" a smirk appears on her face as she says this and she moves abit closer to and I stay where I am. "So were you involved in any relationships before the apocalypse?" She asks curiously. "Nope I had a girl best freind but that was about it really" I reply smiling and she moves even closer to me and she is now staring into my eyes and I feel so calm around her,we edge even closer and her lips are inches away from mine. And there's a knock on the door we st up startled and shout come in and matt walks in and says were leaving right now. We nod and follow him out into the corridor,me and melissa were exchanging glances to each other as we got in the car she climbed in next me. All our stuff was in there fronm the ride back so we didn't need to pack. The car engine roared to life and we pulled out of the drive looking back to the farm as this is the last time we will probably see it. Unless we can all live the zombie apocalypse and were doing pretty well so far don't ya think?. About half a mile up the road there were two figures we stopped the car and they ran up to us but something felt weird they ran up to us and said please help us and as chad walked closer to them the mans face changed to an infecteds and he pounced on chad and bit into his neck. Chads dead. We quickly ran into the car and ran over the two infected and we continued on our way. I looked back and saw chad well what was chad rise again but not as chad chad but zombie chad he looked at me and a demonic smile formed on his deformed face . The zombies are getting smarter I have to tell matt. "Matt we need to be carefull the zombies are getting smarter and faster this is terrible" I say laughing because I didn't even think this was possible. " I know that's why we need to stick together because we have already lost chad to his stupidity I mean I know that he wasn't meant to know that the zombs were getting smarter you just need to be more careful we cannot trust anybody else anymore. We pull up at a store and go inside for supplies I cannot belive how far we have came in the past month and we are still alive thank god. We come out with food and water also taking clothes and more reliable weapons like bats that don't make a lot of noise when you take out the zombies with them. Which is actually pretty cool don't you think being able to take out a walker without alerting a whole horde of them because if we alert a whole horde then we are sure to get surrounded and become a meal for the undead walkers. How could they possibly be getting smarter and smarter what if they become as intelligent as us then we would be sure to die at the hands of them,what if they have mutated in the last few days or months and they could planning,planning to wipe out the human race or what's left of it for sure.

Wow the zombies are getting smarter this is getting harder for the group and things are hotting up with melissa and jason next chapter will be about raiders who try and steel the groups suprise and end up having a fight til the death. ;)
