Chapter 20 - The End Of The Beggining: Part 1

Hi guys this is where all of the epicness begins and book one is nearly over but book 2 will soon be started after this has ended so enjoy the final two chapters :D

I woke up the next day and got dressed to go downstairs when I heard a really big commotion going off downstairs, I quickly run downstairs to see what is happening. " All this wouldn't of happened if you had kept our mouth shut" maddie said to jake." But I wasn't the one who had to go and do it in the first place it was you so don't accuse me of doing anything" jake replies. " I can't belive that you two had gone out and didn't ask" emma says with a throaty growl in her voice. " Oh hi jason " luke said these two took our best weapons with them and apparently misplaced them in the woods" he says in a mocking tone. " I think we all need to calm down now" I suggest " yeah other wise we will end up attracting the whole islands population of zombies. Bang! Bang! Bang! A loud knocking was heard on the door. "Help Help please" the voice said I quickly opened the door to be faced with none other than melissa. " Melissa your alive!" I state wrapping my arms around her and holding her closer to me than ever before. " How did you survive I I saw you die" I say. " Well after I had been left on deck and you all packed up and left I woke up realising I was still alive and I hadn't been bit by anything so I got up and started wondering around shouting loudly and I'm afraid that attracted some unwanted attention and I found my self running from what looks like the whole island population so yeah that's why I'm here but I'm afraid I bought someone else here she screams. "Who?" I ask and she points to the hill. "Them" she says and with that millions and millions of zombies appear in the horizon only focusing on one thing.Us. They stagger towards us and by my judgement they will reach us in over ten to fifteen minutes, I look around and all eyes are focused on me awaiting my guidance." Today we are faced with a difficult task the enemy may overwhelm us in number but certainly not in spirit as we shall fight together and we shall prove the whole world that we are unstoppable not only by force but by our great freindship we all have so we you stand and fight with me!" I say. "YES WE WILL" they shout. " I CANT HEAR YOU!" I shout . "YES WE WILL!" They reply with an uproar of excitement. " Caitlin come with me emma and regan luke take the roof and shoot the zombies from the top jake and maddie secure the outer perimeter and today we shall live and we will be freed! " I shout like a batle cry and the gunshots go off and the war has started the zombies are now running down the hill towards us and wave upon wave appear as we struggle to keep them off the mansion. We shoot the first wave sprinting at us and the second that follows but we are to overwhelmed by the numbers and they reach the electric gate which decimates a large portion of their population but the gate won't hold for long. And I was right it dropped over and the zombies started towards the mansion hammering their fist on the doors and windows one of the windows break when maddie and jake retreeted and it grabbed hold of jakes hand and with incredible strength yanked him towards the window. "No!" Maddie screamed holding jakes hand to prevent him from being completely yanked outside but it was no use he was already dead and she let's go of his hand as the zombies rip his intestines out maddie begins to cry and I drag her into the next room and we begin to run up the corridor fearing our lives and we don't know if we will make it out alive. The zombie give chase after us breaking down the door and they start to pile in through the door and their growls echoed off the walls they were right behind us. Caitlin joined us sprinting throught the corridor and we ran up the stairs , skidding round the corner towards the roof entrance their was a ladder maybye we could get up their and we would be safe for a little while. I jump on the ladder and get to the roof . Maddie is the last to climb up and one of the zombies grabbed her leg followed by hundreds and hundreds more the zombie at the front takes a chunk out of her leg and she let's go of the ladder disapearing into the crowd of zombies I quickly pull the ladder up and we are out of reach.
